Just got back from fishing RI the past 2 nights, fished Napetree Pt.,Watchill, Narraganset and the Narrows river. Also got to hit all the breachways. Worked the area pretty hard, heard about that 50 about 4 days ago. The only place I noticed alot of bait was Charleston, all else was pretty dead. Only managed to pick a few short fish the past few nights on bucktails and plugs, none on eels. Also dropped a bunch... Heard of lot of fish in the ponds and the back of Narraganset/Bay. 1st hour of the outgoing seemed to be the "Window" of opertunity, fish were blowing up everywhere on small bait in the back of Quonnie, and then lights out! The water did not seem to cold at all on the open beach, however could not connect on eels, did a few on plugs. Everyone I bumped into was crying about how the spring is getting off to a slow start. Yoou guys really have some beautiful water up in RI, things should really start to heat up soon...
