Krispy,

You couldn't have asked for a "fresher" fish report...were you able to get into large?

I'll bet Hab and the boys did well to the west.

Hey Fish-eye, I already had one on my perch before you rounded the beach, first cast!! Took 4 more in that range before I snapped the tip off my rod.
I definitely learned a couple things about that spot and similar situations :th:
Yer like the bloodhound for fisherman ;) I wish I could have seen your underwater view of that incredible blitz yesterday afternoon, and the thousands of bass and blues smashing bait like Ive never seen before.
Get those DVD's done!!!
And Marguerite got a kick of how Id been there for a couple hours and all of a sudden you come climbing up out of the surf from nowhere :D :laughs:
I ended up running in to HABS too. They were kind enough to lend me a rod and we did a couple more hours fishing before I headed home.
A perfect day off of work

Krispy,

Glad I could help put you into a few more fish.

I had covered over a mile of shoreline and didn't see any concentrations until I hit that spot...that's why I kept on swimming...I knew that with the tide starting to drop they would be taking position there.

Amazing that nobody was fishing that spot -- except for Joe Orvis who stumbled his way into thigh deep water where he managed to wrap the fly line around his head a couple of times. I wouldn't normally make fun of somebody, especially when they're all decked out in a $3,000 outfit  except that dude told me (as I was quietly slipping into the water where a blitz was taking place) that he might hook me! I told him, "If you do, you're in store for the fight of your life!" He continued to try to cast his fly into the middle of 20,000 peanuts...fat chance it would ever get eaten.

RIJimmy, you'll get a good taste of where the fish hang, where to find the LARGE, and techniques for catching in all of my different videos. This upcoming show season I'll be doing seminars with all new material that will blow you away. A big focus on predator-prey relationships (some of them not lasting too long) and a look at techniques that really work. Next week I hit Cuttyhunk for several days on and in the surf and before the last cow passes us by, I hope to hook up with Hab and Tattoo for a little surfside action. Ron Arra might be tagging along as well.

A trip to Montauk with Dave DiBenedetto (author of "On the Run")should finish off the local filming season. Then I'm off to Costa Rica with Crazy Alberto, Peter Johnson (the owner of Robert Lure Co- the famous Ranger lures and Larry's Tackle Shop) and a host of other friends and adventuresome anglers for a Laptew Safari at Crocodile Bay Lodge. This "rumble in the jungle" should give up some fantastic fish and some great material for the upcoming shows. There's still time if anyone wants to hook up with our group outing -- check it out at http://www.crocodilebay.com/laptew.html where you can view a short video and download free wallpaper.

If a masked man pulling a dive flag crosses your path this fall, or even your line, my apologies in advance -- give me a friendly shout and I'll be happy to say hello and then tell you where you might want to consider fishing...it worked for Krispy.

Tattoo, you didn't need any magic fruit to do some pretty strange driving :smash: last time I saw you surfside. BTW, could you make one of those spooks Dodge metalic-silver and while the gun is loaded, I'll swing by for a little touch up on my truck.
