Let's start a new thread, and may this be educational, especially to everyone who might just be starting out, to those who may be oldtimers but they can learn a new trick or two.

I've seen many different kinds of rigs... the carolina rig, the sabaki rig, the bucktail jig rig, the etc etc etc al...

Now, what some of us, me included, might like to see is an explanation of the different kind of rigs, what bait is used on those, in what situations should they be used... and what fish they are used to catch...

This way, all of us can learn from each other... an included drawing of how the rig looks would be most definitely appreciated.. and maybe our esteemed moderator, JohnR can turn this into a sticky! maybe into its own link for fellow fishermen!

Now, ladies and gentlemen, start your reels!

Jugstah, stop by your favorite tackle shop that sells "The Fisherman". They published a free "How-To Handbook of Inshore Rigs & Knots". Has all illustrations of different rigs for different species.
I'm sure many people including myself have their own setups, but it's a good starting point of reference.
