View Full Version : Worst Part of living in Boston
Tacklebox7 10-15-2003, 09:11 PM Watching a team that isnt even a Yankees' team lose. Lets go Yanks, shut these guys down tomorrow.
Sorry, I'll probably never be a friendly receipent on this board, but have to show my love some how.
Best,
Nyer stuck in Boston at the worst possible time.
Yankees :smash: Red Sox
Let me know where you live and I'm sure something could be done about putting you out of your misery. I lived for 15 friggin years in NYC and I stood tall(somewhat;) ) was a Red Sox fan all the way through.
Prepare for your beating.:D
JohnR 10-15-2003, 09:27 PM Off to the Scuppers for you... A lot of the "smart" NY'ers I know that have moved to Boston and stuck around were for the most part Mets fans. Other than for that day back in '86, they've pretty much become Sox fans. You can do it too. Come to the light!
Squid kids Dad 10-15-2003, 09:32 PM Tacklebox................Best thing for you is to go back NYC.........ADIOS AMIGO
Tacklebox7 10-15-2003, 09:42 PM I knew I was going to get this abuse, but I can take. If we dont win it this year; we'll win it next year.
I would be embrassed to root for this "cowboy up" non-sense crap.
Unfortunately, these Yankees are a bunch of jackasses (ie Karim Garcia; Flexia Herdia; the new Jeff Nelson) and dont know what it means to be a good team.
I think you win this series; b/c unfortunately we have a bunch of Millar like jackasses on my team.
likwid 10-15-2003, 09:53 PM Atleast Millar dosen't go dancing around the field like that little girl Jeter
BasicPatrick 10-15-2003, 09:55 PM Tacklebox7
oot for the home team, that is all about character. It's not your fault you are from NY. My condolences. Besides that....
John r...Please dispatch this heretic from this fine site asap
:D

HighTide 10-16-2003, 12:52 PM I have to step up to the plate and defend the honor of my other alias. I use Tacklebox as an alias in another forum and I just can't sit here and watch some Yankees fan drag my good name through the mud! :af:
The Yankees are gonna go down like Don Zimmah!
Cowboy Up , Baby !!!!
Krispy 10-16-2003, 01:12 PM Worst Part of living in Boston
Bostonians?!?
chris L 10-16-2003, 01:33 PM "cowboy up " sounds just too freaking rediculous . is this some village people crap . gitty up cowboy ! looky me Im a cowboy up , up where on a freaking horse .
village people is that what bostonians are called these days . I liked it better when they were just yuppies trying to be and look like the jones's . what ever happen to the izod shirts and loafers you would see on everyone in boston ?
and another thing real cowboys dont wear red sox just red union suits .
cowboy up is just so queer ! cowboy up boyths !
likwid 10-16-2003, 01:43 PM Cowboy Up is better than "well... we have the highest budget in the league so of COURSE we win"
Or having Jeter dancing around on the field like a little girl...
Tacklebox7 10-16-2003, 01:47 PM Dumb comment - our high budget (I think you mean payroll) helps fund teams like the Red Sox - that argument no longer applies.
and regarding Jeter; when you are the best short stop in the playoffs on an annual basis; you can dance anyway you like.
GO YANKS
YANKS :smash: RED SOX tonight (I hope)
Krispy 10-16-2003, 01:54 PM and when you win 26 championships, you might have a couple bucks for your wins.
Not that yous would know
chris L 10-16-2003, 01:58 PM yeah maybe if they were the boston cowboys , boston rustlers or even the boston braves . but its just so gay .

As many errors as Garciaparra...
Maybe he should take up ballet instead...
Jimbo 10-16-2003, 03:04 PM Try being a Sox fan growing up on Long Island and then living in NJ. Abuse? Try Constantly Hammered! But I'll never change my loyalty just because I live in the shadows of Yankee stadium. Though it would be nice if ALL the Sox bloused their pants like Veretek. I'm convinced that's what will break any curse that might exist (and it looks a heck of a lot better than the just pulled on look, too). But what do I know? The Bombas are my fashion consultants!?!?!?
chris L 10-16-2003, 03:06 PM The Bombas are my fashion consultants!?!?!?
you in trouble !
likwid 10-16-2003, 03:07 PM Funny how pretty much west chester north is rooting for the Sox.
go figure huh?!
Slingah 10-16-2003, 04:50 PM YANKEES S#CK
Swimmer 10-16-2003, 06:49 PM .:smash: :smash::smash: :smash:
I never new people admitted to being from Nu Yok. I mean you never hear nobody say I'm a native Nu Yoka...........even Rudy.
Now you have Bloomberg, even he comes from Massachusetts.
:laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs: :laughs:
Lucky youse
Jimbo 10-16-2003, 07:12 PM NJ Dad (English teacher!!!), Cape born Mom. I ain't got no New Yawwk accent. I ain't got no accent t'all. My dad was a Sox fan, his dad was a Sox fan before they wuz the Sox (can we say Braves at this day and age? Does anyone remember). Got no Bean blood in my veins. NY born and bred Sox fan til the death. I made a mistake, the Bombas ask me for fashion advice. Can't you tell? OK, I had a few in prep for this game............
Tacklebox7 10-16-2003, 11:52 PM Well, it was a great series; nothing for Red Sox Nation to be ashamed of, took the favored team to extra innings in a game 7, Great Fun series.
likwid 10-16-2003, 11:55 PM Jimbo: the Braves are the Braves
The Sox are the Sox
two seperate teams
And the only thing the yankees had over the sox was better management
and we saw how important that was in game 7

Prophet? No, that was way too easy to predict. You want another easy one? The Bruins won't win another Cup with Sinden and Jacobs at the helm. See......way too easy:D
RickBomba 01-15-2004, 08:03 PM Not to get off the subject, but how did Mikey and I become the new Fab 2?
I was going to say the worst parts about living in Boston are as follows:
#1. Traffic
#2. People not knowing what to do when it snows
#3. Car insurance and property rates
#4. Rappin Mikey's to far away
#5. My ex-inlaws
Not to mix good with the bad, but the best parts about living in Boston are as follows:
#1. Kick arse sports teams that are very close to where I live.
#2. Proximity to the ocean
#3. High salary rates
#4. Public transportation for coming back from sporting events
#5. The amount of money I made selling my house.
So with all the good, comes the bad.
Love,
Rick
PS- The Yankees really do SUCK!!!
(I didn't even like them when I lived in New York!)
Sorry yo Bash guys, just my .02
