Hey John,

You goin' to the mystery trip next week? I think just about everyone is on the verge of losin' it. I'm no exception. I can't wait to get out on the beach and get some feesh.

I was looking for a graphic of a striper yesterday, so I did a search "striped bass." Your site was second on my search... pretty cool, dude. I bumped around various sites this week and saw some cool ideas I wanna run by you for Stripedbass.com.

Well, the boat's ready, flyrod ready, tackle bag and surf bag ready, got new lightweight waders for light terrain use... gonna line my schoolie reels this weekend. All I need now is some striped ladies to dance with.

Almost time to start saying "tight lines" and "hooks on" again!

Clamdigger, a little early to say for sure but if I'm heading over there from Rhody, want to ride along with me? Slight chance that I may crash at mom's house but more likely I'll leave from Rhody...

Ahhh, I don't think this weekend will work out 'cause it over. You know how much I get online over the weekend.

Hydroseed went on yesterday... I have a beautiful blue green yard right now. Can't wait to see my water bills for the summer.

Mi madre closed on her house this past week. So its a done deal.

WOOOHOOOO!!! Free place to stay near the Back Beaches!!! Just kidding. But it will be interesting, now that she has the new house, you're going to want her in PA so you can have the place, hehehe...

Which reminds me - you need to get a OSV pass for at least CCNS before they are gone and maybe a Nauset one too. I can kick you a couple bucks but it doesn't make much sense for me to get one this year....

Is Coast Guard the best one to get? I mean, in terms of fishing and least time lost to the piping "I taste like chicken" plovers.

Where do you get those stickers?

Dude, I had thought about it, but didn't remember that they run out.

The CCNS is from P-town to part of Truro I think and that's the cheap one for like $65 (I'd ask BillC but he's stuck down in Jersey working - too busy to even fish)...
Nice new website : http://www.nps.gov/caco/activities/oversand/index.html

The Nauset one which is very sweet is around $140 and limited but right around the corner relatively speaking. I could bury some money for that... I think you get

They both suffer down time to plover

I think both places were sold out of permits by mid may last year...

Schoolie Monster, the OSV for CCNS is $65......access is Race point, High Head (but be careful) and out to the right on Coastguard at night...if I am not misstaken between8PM and 7AM. Also they have gone to weekly permits for I think $45. In the past few years I have seen more closure due to erosion than Plovers :( but still plenty to fish!!! The problem is it can get crowded at the Race on busy weekends but not bad during the week....when all else fails we head out to the Mission Bell side (to the right before the parking lot) which is barely crowded!!! Hoping to stay overnight on sunday after the trip and going to get the permit monday...if you are interested in checking it out first let me know, I certainly wouldnt mind the travel companion either!

Greg - I think we should get both passes. Like I said, I toss some coin your way [img=http://www.striped-bass.com/Images/evil.gif]

This link has a large map of the route and what routes are open when. check it out...

http://www.nps.gov/caco/activities/oversand/route.html Jenn, I think Greg is thinking of the "other" Coast Guard Beach ...

Anyone aware of the details for the Nauset pass? Where, when, how much $$??

Thanks...

We'll talk about it on Sunday. My brain hurts today. I just want to yell and smash stuff.

F*#@, Sh$%, B#@$%... now I feel better... and I'm cool too. Swearing is cool. When I swear, I'm cool. I think I'll screech my tires when I leave work today... that will make me cool too. Pump some rap music... though, I don't think I have any rap music, maybe I can find a rap station. That would make me even... cooler still.

At least I haven't lost touch with reality yet...

Yeh, well, gotta pay to play :D ...

Schoolie - Don't give that line of manure about rap music. You are the only person I know that listens to both rap and James Taylor. I've SEEN the tapes in the Jeep and they ain't da wife's....

We checked out Nauset about four-five years ago and it was like $120 then, and I believe you have to go to the fire station, or police station for them (sorry details fuzzy). they did have a limit of so many vehicles allowed on the beach at a time .....so in other words if you got there and it was full you either had to wait for someone to leave or find somewhere else to go.

Yeah, I always screw up that Coastguard thing.....to me there is only one! I know how ignorant of me huh? HA!HA!HA! Sorry....
