I'm working on some new Polaris styled plugs. I'm going to use glitter. Thise are going to be pretty big polaris' and I'm wondering if the red head, yellow bellies would be good? Looking for advice. I know the white bellied red head broom stick I make work very well on stripers. Any advice on colors would be welcome PLEASE:)

A color that I like the last couple of seasons has been parrot. Something about it in the RI surf seems to work well.

Specificity----- Can you describe that for me. I think I know:smash: but I'm not sure:confused: Does it have dark green back orange sides and yellow belly?

Yellow with a white belly is a killer on stripers in the early A.M. when the stripers are on herring. White with a splash of red in the chin area also produces a TON of stripers in the morning.

oh, i don't know. let's see, you build lures, supposedly been in the business a while, i'm sure walk into takle shops, i'm assuming you talk to people, and you don't know the color parrot? you need to do some homework before you ask a question like that.

Now let's see, are you just trying to be rude? I dunno, maybe?

I am interested in what people are having success with because I'm going to start doing more shore myself and if something works better than another, I suppose I'd be dumb not to try it. Also some designs may work better with different color schemes than others.

Besides Wolf, I'm not soliciting business advice from anyone. Since I'm not a corperate sponsor of this web page. I will be experimenting. Are you under the unrealistic impression that the manufacturers know all the best? Let's ask the guys that have been doing this for years, I'm sure they would say they learn all the time. I've only been making my lures for less than 7 years and only production for less than 3 years. I'm not ashamed to say I have a lot yes LOT to learn. I'm sorry if you don't approve on anyone learning. Best of luck.

Well I guess one grumpy person, killed this thread prematurely. I'm still wondering what color patterns people prefer out there for a polaris style? ;)

PS fishweewee, let's see the rainbow plug...
