Snow is flying at many of the NE ski resorts already! Looks like another cold one.

I was thinking of hauling 2nd or 3nd week in Nov general unload of gear and basic clean-out (ie: remove all fish scales), toss in a few moisture wick bags in the closed areas and have the engines serviced, winterized, shrink-wrapped and put away till spring. What's your plan?
I have a few more fishing trips planned but I see the end now...:(
can't complain too much, pretty good season.

Sandman.
I pull it when my marina turns off the fresh water at the slips. Usually after 2-3 nights of below freezing temps. Hopefully that won't happen for a few more weekends...

Most probably sometime next week. I have to run it over to Montauk first, so the weather will have a lot to do with it.

Winterizing the big boat Sunday. I'll keep the skiff running till it snows.

People actually winterize boats and stop fishing? My joints have to get far worse and gas prices go much higher, for there are always fish to be had.

I will try to Cod fish right in to Dec.?? Jan can have some nice days to go for Cod also!!
Now that I have a out board I have extened my season Indefinitely!!
The thing is at the old house I had a car port and the boat was under that all the time!! That was great. Now I have none so the snow will be in the boat all the time if I don't cover it. So I guess it will be covered sometime end of Nov beginning Dec.

I'm wondering if this spring/summer I can plan a trip down the Intercoastal Waterway to Key West and then phone the wife that the boat is having trouble and I have to rent a house down there.

Would something like that work?

You can't make the trip alone. I'll have to go with you.
