RI Popper 10-26-2003, 01:36 PM WOW, All I can say is that I am humbled at the kind of selfless help you all provided me yesturday. On the way back in I had motor problems and was washed up on beach in a terrible current and strong wind. All I could thing was being stuck there until the next high tide. I was already in a great deal of pain because of my back problems and that would have done me in. But the selfless act that Mr. Macey provided was beyond all I could expect. Missing link was a great help too. You guys and anyone else in the company of this list can be proud of the kind of people your aquainted with. I'm very glad I could find a few fish and that we didn't end up going all the way to stellwagon because of the way the wind really picked up. But the inshore was less than I have been used to and It should get better in the next few week. Again. Thanks for the help and God bless. I would really love to fish with you guys again.
Sincerly,
Armand

shore manic 10-26-2003, 02:18 PM macojoe and mrmacey were showing us the fine art of marine precision throttleing and wave jumping.:laughs: :bounce: :eek5: :hidin: :kewl:
InshoreAngler 10-26-2003, 04:23 PM whered u guys fish, u kno when the cod come up around here in RI?
RI Popper 10-26-2003, 04:31 PM Well Rhode Island Cod are just about non existant. Very Very rarely do they show in RI waters. If so, it would only be around sharks ledge near block island, but that's rare. sorry to be the bearer of bad news. You can get them from shore at Hull near the wind- turbine on occasion, but the numbers are not great and the size are usually smaller.
Armand, Good luck
mrmacey 10-26-2003, 04:52 PM I knew you would like that pic baked breaded cod with melted cheese and a slice of pepperoni cooked on top for a dash of spicey flavor!
macojoe 10-26-2003, 05:46 PM RI Popper did you figure what went wrong with the engin?? This is why I say we all go toghter and come back toghter or at least in pairs, So as to be able to help each other out.
Glad your all set!
RI Popper 10-26-2003, 06:03 PM HI, I haven't been able to look at the motor yet, I just flushed it out last night. I suspect there is an electrical problem. that didn't allow it to fire on all 4. I agree completely with going out with more than one boat when possible. I enjoyed fishing with you guys. Every time I found Fish I let you guys know. And the funniest one is when I called you over to where I was. and within 2 minutes you get that big one. Good job buddy. we did have fun atleast. I can hardly walk today after the beating though. It took all I had to make it to church today.
Armand
Notaro 10-26-2003, 08:32 PM Damn, i caught a 18 inches striper on a danny stlye swimmer and no keepers at RI. Nice fishes, MrMacy and y'all. MJ, why is cod a roundball?
macojoe 10-26-2003, 09:39 PM I don't no??? Why?
InshoreAngler 10-26-2003, 09:44 PM I see Armand. hey just in case u didnt kno im Vic from RISAA, didnt kno u were in here.
Don't think im gonna bother getting the Senator 112H for cod, y buy a setup if its just a once and a blue moon thing here in RI.....better off with my Penn Seaboy (350yds.30#) i think itll handle the occasional codfish in case i run into one while seabass fishing, right? then ill just rent a rod for the once a year cod trip on the Helen H in Hyannis, Mass:)
RI Popper 10-26-2003, 09:52 PM Hi Victor, I knew it was you when I saw your post about the penn reel. Don't bother renting one either, I can alwayse let you borrow one when you go cod fishing. I have plenty. If you want to go cod fishing with me sometime, let me know, I usually are into them pretty good. This trip wasn't that good for numbers, but great for company.
Armand
InshoreAngler 10-27-2003, 06:26 AM sounds great Armand, how late do you go out there though? december? and how far do u go out?
RI Popper 10-27-2003, 09:21 AM The cod are just starting to get into the shallower water. They can be fished all winter providing the ramps are accessible and the temps are doable.
RI Popper 10-30-2003, 08:11 PM Well to all those who braved the cod trip. I have some news. You all know how I just had my powerhead rebuilt on my motor. well it is chit. Getting another powerhead put on now. :o :o who knows when I'll get on the water  hopefully soon. Someday it will be right and the world will come back into alignment.
InshoreAngler 10-30-2003, 08:31 PM that sux armand.i know how it is when u want to get out on the water but there are engine problems, with my boat about 1 out of every 3 trips are like that. i wantd to go out on a party boat saturday but my dad wont let me 3 weeks in a row.....i was getting anxious to try out ur cod jig, even if there weren't any cod just see how it works and stuff. o well....i think im going to the west wall saturday
macojoe 10-30-2003, 09:49 PM RI That really sucks. Well at least the guy is standing behind it and giving you a new one?? I hope!!
You will be back in biss. in no time! See ya out there
