Big Vern 10-28-2003, 12:25 PM We just had our offer on a home in Squantum accepted.

Looks like I'll be doing a lot more weeknight fishing next year. All I need are your Quincy shore spots. Hahaha.
redlite 10-28-2003, 12:32 PM Congratulations. Welcome to Q-Town.
I'll give up all my spots for a small price.........Wait, since you just bought a house, you don't have enough money, so I'll just donate them.
here are the directions.
Get in truck.
get on rt. 3 south.
Follow over Sagamore bridge.
Follow rt 6 to any signs in Truro with a beach name on it.
Approxiatte travel time; 2 hours....EACH WAY. God Bless Rumble strips.
schoolie monster 10-28-2003, 12:36 PM there's a secret spot down at the south end of wollaston beach. nobody knows or fishes the spot. there's this little salt pond and it dumps out.
you owe me big for this one, its called black's creek... ssshhhhhhh
Big Vern 10-28-2003, 12:37 PM Thanks Redlite...and I thought I was moving closer to the fish.:laughs:
I could take the alternative route:
Get in truck.
get on rt. 3 south.
get out at canal.
I'll be happy just to be able to wet a line closeby.

Overated?? Ascuse me:D :D
DC, I basically live in Squantum too.:D
Fisherwoman 10-29-2003, 10:54 AM I don't know JohnR, for someone who thinks Quincy is overated I remember seeing your butt here alot along a river or 2 a few years back till ya moved to RI. ;)
DC give me a call in the spring and I will show you lotsa places!!! anytime!!!   ;)
JohnR 10-29-2003, 11:56 AM FW - don't get me wrong, I like fishing Quincy but a little south of there is where the bigger fishies swim and can be accessed more reliably from the beach :D - Yes, I've caught hundreds upon hundreds of stripers from the shores of Quincy (not the thousands that you two have done) but when darkness falls ....
Big Vern 10-29-2003, 12:26 PM Overated, underated, it doesn't matter to me. Any rating at all implies that it is better than the fishing in Waltham. I'm sure I'll become very familiar with the area, and I appreciate all the "tips".
Moose Nuckle 10-29-2003, 07:13 PM Hey Don,
Congrats on the house. Don't let them kid you. There's alot of nice places to fish in Quincy. On the land or in a boat it does not matter. Even if you go over the Fore River bridge to Hull your only talking about a 15 min. ride. GOOD LUCK !!!:jump: :jump: :jump: :jump:
