some time back this summer i had ta get a new cylinder bolt for my 8 inch dw 357 mag.ok i call company plunk down my cc card gimme part ,bimbo says be theyre frday fedex sir.3 n half weeks later im like wheres my part on phone with same broad,nutshell i get BITCHED out an swored at for asking.EFM for asking.i flamed out on the dw boards about the fact.a week later i get my part and look atthe invoice,i was over charged for the part,i was overcharged at top fedex rates for shipping when the package came in an envleope for 49cent regular mail.i was charged a "handling fee" as well.ripping pissed as i sat theyre i disassembled the mag installed new part,welp the mim made pos was out of spec.wouldnt work man.i finally cheated and made an offset pin and finally timed the pistol correctly.i got bob serva the new ceo of dw on the horn and had it out with him,i was promised new part and made even on my cc card for what shoudve been charged.it never happpened,i called him back,the witch bitch was canned and i reamed him for not making good his promises.i sold the damn gun and will never ever own another dan wesson again no thanx ta them thiefin bastrges

had a run in with dan wesson a couple years ago and the utter CRAP that he sells.

needless to say threats of lawsuits got me my money back.

they suck period,the early monson mass dw's were built the best and right and strong as hell,the newer ones suck and the palmer ones a notch above the new ones.company was bought some time back ,the new pointman 1911's are loaded with probs as well.

1911 the only way to go for defense,for pistol hunting tho ya cant beat the 357 mag.mine chalked up alot of dead yotes and variuos critters for the table.

i just picked up a new armscor 3 months old nib, 4140 thru out,ed browned, novaked an mccormicked,hoagy gator grips.all the bells n whistles,no complaints,one hole groups at 25 yards keeps me happy,no fte's,no ftf's.only thing that sucks is some chatter marks from reaming the stainless barrel in the chamber,sendin it back for new barrel no questions asked,no cost,no problems,now thats a company i like with good buisness practices.just hope new barrel will group same as this one.it should ,nm bushing,link etc,i like tyhe ed brown stainless mags with the orange follower as well,2 novak spare mags with a blue job that have the deep blue fine gloss colt finish bluing,sights are novak no snags windage only but thats fine by me.found a pre 70 series colt with a bomar rib im thinkin bout for swap in on but she wont do better than 1" at 25 yards when i shot it,might just stick with the armscor till ifnd a colt that shoots the same on paper.got an officers model colt on hold for my son in law as well thatll do 1.5" with me behind the trigger.in a way tho i do miss the dw but screw them. im done with them man ,if theyda made good i mighta kept the 15vrh i had...the arsmscor folks make the rock islands and charlie dee's as well.the new charlie dee's also come a long way from when they first started as well but i havent shot one that prints better than 2" on paper yet.
