I have been drilling the through hole in the wood blank before turning the lure. Is better to do it before or after?

"Fish in Vt" check your P.M. Jigman 11-04-2003, 08:56 AM It can be done either way, whatever makes you more comforable. When I did them on the drill press, I did the hole first for the reason that lifish stated. Doing them on the lathe, I'll do the hole after turning. Seems to be more acurate and I have not had the problem of the drill bit going through the side. In either case, drill from both ends and meet in the middle. Jigman TheRattBoy 11-04-2003, 08:49 PM I spin first, then drill.Works for me:) johnny "the Ratt Boy" MAC 11-05-2003, 05:37 PM I drill after the plug is turned for the thru wire. I drill for weight and swivel holes before turning. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
