JohnR 11-05-2003, 10:09 PM go xxl - gives more mobility anyway and you are not getting smaller... GET THE STOCKING FOOT and wading boots - I really orefer these over bootfoot
dondkim 11-05-2003, 10:27 PM I am 5'9" tall and 195lbs with 10 1/2 foot. I have 3 Silver label waders, hiking one with laces, one with cleats and one simple bootfoot, all in large. The simple bootfoot wader shoes feel little tighter than the others. I advice you that you should try them on if you are near by any Orvis store or dealer.
Good Luck.
InshoreAngler 11-05-2003, 10:30 PM thanks John.
I made this order instead, from Cabelas.
Cabelas Gold Medal Dry-Plus Stockingfoot Waders (LARGE)$169.99
Chota STL Wading Boot - size 12
$100
SPRO power swivels 80# 50 pack $10
(snuck in, told my dad they are needed to connect sospenders to waders:rolleyes: :D )
What do you think John/anyone?:)
BTW John I didnt get to read the XXL thing before I purchased, will I be OK in the Large? Shoe size 9-12 and I wear 11.5-12 so this is OK right? A little less mobility but still comfortable, right, atleast I got the stocking-foot with good boots (that is a good name, Chota, right?)
Slingah 11-06-2003, 07:19 AM I have those waders, they are great, They should fit fine., I have size13 foot and no problem
I got the XL and they are almost just right 6'2" 220 size13

John,
Why Stocking foot over Boot foot?

rizzo 11-06-2003, 12:34 PM I just got the silver label lace up boot foots and love them. You get the best of both worlds because you dont have to worry about the sand getting in, and the built in lace-ups make them real comfortable and offer much more stability than just regualr bootfoot. The stocking foot ones can really bother your feet depending on where the seams are and sand always finds a way into them.
I think it is also worth the trip to go try them on. The whole clearwater/silverlabel series is being discontinued so if you look around you could find a good deal. A freind of mine just picked up some clearwater bootfoots in Avon, Ct for 60% off.
I just got the Orvis Pro Guides Boot foot waders & I love them!
I can also place my korkers over the felt sole of the boot...
So far so good!...
