What is it about rainy days that increases buck movement. I've seen the most action and have noticed that many hunters do also during rainy days. What started out as a slow hunt, I ended up arrowing this 8pt 150# buck. I could tell he had just got out of his bed when at 40yrds and shook the water off his coat. For what ever reason bucks can't sit still very long .:)

Animals will tend to move when it rains/when its cloudy out taking advantage of the lower light/noise the rain makes.

Masks their movements a little better.
Also to keep warm they'll spend alot of time moving about.

Congrats, I always liked still hunting on damp days. As long as its not pouring deer will be on the move and you can sneak up on them easier.
