Cheeze, 9am and I'm ready to kill.
Called Dell Computer yesterday and was going to order cheap desktop for wife for internet and email and some finance work. Put the order in and was given Order #.
Call this morning and was told the order was on hold and to call Preferred Customer number.
Well, I have an account with Dell from a laptop I bought a while back. Been making double payments each month and only 1 month to go. They ( Dell Preferred Customer Finance) said they have to check my credit references again. She had my account in front of her and saw double payments without ever a late or missing payment. HUH ?
I said thank you. Called the agent back with my order on hold and asked him simply to CANCELL THE ORDER. You can't believe how many times he offered me something special and even said they don't need the Preferred Customer approval now if I buy the system.
I told him ( Martin ) he was a good salesman but to notify his boss that the Preferred Customer section wanted more info on my finances and in consideration of that slam on my record, I'd go to Best Buy or somewhere else and purchase a similar system for CASH.
Just paid off 1800 bucks in 9 months and they question a 399.00 purchase. Bug off Dell......
Ahhhh....Feel better now.
