Christian 11-11-2003, 03:45 PM here are some from this batch, they need to be enviroed. theres 1 or 2 made of maple with a 00 shot in the butt, the rest are sugar pine with either 1 00 shot in the butt or 1 0 shot in the butt. they are a little weak because it is sugar pine, but it turns real nice and smells almost as good as ayc. you can see i had a little trouble with the yellow one (bigfish's) :( (dont you fret i got another bunch comming):D pushin the grommet into a whole that was too small for it. it snapped. i need to test swim them but i think theyll do what a pencil is supposed to do, catch fish. the eyes give em a nice touch but further weaken the design. o well theyll catch a few anyways. i tried to strengthen them by injecting some 1 hour epoxy to the weak spots, but ill just have to see what happens. i was going for a sandeel imitation.
Christian 11-11-2003, 03:46 PM also i used pieces of chain instead of swivels, its pretty hard to bend em, saves me some mula too. those eyes....... i had a craving for green.
