Same barge that spilled the oil this spring has been fixed and is transporting oil again! Same route. :af: :af:

After they told us that this barge was not going to be used again that it was going to be decommissioned even before it ran aground.

They haven't told the truth from the beginning. This last spill was bad, but not bad enough to stop the transporting of oil through the best fishing areas in the northeast. The coast I live on was ruined and could not be fished until late summer. The clam beds opened today. What will it take to stop this? It will happen again. Just a matter of time...

Let's just hope it IS a fuel barge and not one of them Benzene bombs. With the wrong wind direction one of those could kill a whole city.

They are the grey barges. Next time anyone drives by New Haven Harbor take a gander at what a big meltdown would do.

And Connecticut has a booming law. Mass and RI don't. How do you think it makes us feel in Nantucket Harbor when a fuel barge comes in ? Scallops and shellfish are a way of life out here. So vulnerable it is scary.........

Makes me so mad some days
