Have any of you read one of the "Fisherman" issue about asian crabs and jigging for togs? I found a pic of an asian crab on google.com and it's considered as a threat. And it has been tog's favorite food now. And I am wondering if a bait and tackle dealer should harvest them for baits for togs. And my question is should b&t dealers harvest and sell them?

Joseph -

no need to go to a bait shop.

find some rock piles along the beach and turn over the rocks.

then grab those little japanese critters real quick.

BTW, if you have an asian fish market nearby, live blueclaws are also wonderful bait (cut 'em up).

small crabs - hook them whole, crack the shell a bit to let the juices run out

bigger crabs - cut in half.
