I caught quite a few back in the 70's and 80's but alas, they no longer appear where I used to get them (Wareham River/Weweantic River) . Nice stripers still there though. Anyone else miss catching sea trout?

MAC 11-15-2003, 02:05 PM Years back they could be caught at Mass Maritime. I remember seeing them between the ship and the dock. Clammer 11-15-2003, 02:20 PM There still around/but not in the numbers like before I believe they catch more in Conn & NY I have 4 tiny ones in a minnow trap on a 2 night set this year MakoMike 11-15-2003, 03:53 PM In the 70s we used to bail them off the north bar of Block island, fill a 128 cooler in a tide. Nothing like that nowadays, but there are still a few around. fishweewee 11-16-2003, 09:59 PM Yum, I love a good broiled weakfish. Boy are they dumb critters, even I can catch 'em. :tooth: Notaro 11-17-2003, 12:08 AM I don't see those nerd-toothed fishes on the cape... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
