some of you guys use an acid brush to apply epoxy?

foam brushes are too soft and also absorb too much epoxy, wouldn't work well. Ya need a stiffer brush like an acid brush.

The only use for a foam brush would be to tip the epoxy at the end of coating the plug just to smooth it out, but usually the epoxy self levels.

Thanks for all your helpful info. I have used the foam with good success with epoxy --but have had blisters with envirotex on the flat surfaces.

I'm going to try the brushes u guys use. :kewl:

those blisters maybe caused by oils from your hands on the plug or on the brushes or mixing containers. before doing all my epoxying i wiped down everything including the plug with alchohol (i do a thin coat of polyuerethane before so it wont take off the paint) to remove that stuff. havent had a blister or blurp in a while.
