Well, try as I might to fight it, I think it's over guys. You South County-ers still have a shot but on my side of the Sakonnet, the water has that "Dead look" and any attempts to fish confirms what that little voice that you try and talk over or forget about says, "it's over." So break out the crying towels and dust off that trusty arm-chair winter is here and the bass no longer are. But rest assured friends there are only 156 Days until MAY:happy: :behead:. Went out last night didn't hear, see, feel, smell anything and it's been that way for 12 days or so. I think we need a new forum for suicide watch :laughs:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE

-Dave

I threw in the towel Friday night after Krispy and I couldn't find any fish in S.C. R.I. Washed the gear down and cleaned the truck all out saturday. Going to Orvis Saturday to exchange my 8th pair of leaky waders so I can start fresh next year. Only other thing to do is figure out how to get my reels off my rods to drop them off for cleaning. Thay have been on there for so long, I can't get them off without fear of breaking them or the rods.:smash:
Was a good year with lots and lots of big fish and many great experiences and stories, but also disappointing. Besides not getting a fifty, it ended way too abruptly. There didn't seem to be much of a migration. The fish just suddenly up and disappeared all at once.
Nice to be able to sleep for more than 4 hours a night, but I am still waking up in the middle of the night screaming "I'm ON!!!".......Gonna be a long winter.:(

I have been having similar dreams every night. In my mind I have created an entire landscape (or sea scape) I keep returning to the same area every night to fish (when I'm sleeping) The dreams are in real time too. For instance, last night I remember dreaming about the dream I had the night before and taking the tide into consideration. The problem is I keep waking up. If I could hybernate in this dream world for 5 months I'd be happy.

me too, RM. and sometimes i dream about having a girl to fish with on the canal. and i smiled in my sleep on the train and woke up instantly because i was making a fool of myself in my subconcious state. u know like the one u see in a movie, a person acts out in his or her own dream/fanasty?

i would be dreaming and twitching my hand like u would do a sluggo (a plastic lure!).

Be careful what you wish for, ya see last spring on the Cape Leg, GS found a "girl" to be stalking him down the canal and by all counts she could probably teach you a thing or two. He drives a white van we think... She was tall, dark haired, built like a brick, with a big Adams Apple...

When "she" didn't want to see my Mega Jerk, I moved on. Clearly "she" was fishing for something else:).
