They're basically the same rod---fit a 1204 with a 12" butt extension and you have a 1321. Same tip size, same general taper, the 1321 can handle a fraction more weight due to a slightly different fulcrum.

Short answer---depends on whether you want 10' or 11' of rod.

If you think your gonna throw anything a little heavier with it (3oz+) Id go with a 1205/1322. My 1204 is nice in that 2oz range but gets sloppy with bigger lures. The 1322 is a monster w/ anything over 2-1/2oz and does well at 2oz

Thanks! I probably don't need the 11 if I'm only throwing plugs up to 2 1/2 ounce. Would the 11 be too much for lighter plugs? I looked at both and the tip action on the 11 is not that flexible!

Thanks for your help.-Mike

Krispy-thanks for the info. How does the 1204 work with the 2 1/2 ounce plugs?

Chief, 2.5 is nice on the 1204. My personal preference is toward stiffer/stronger rods in general, so if thats the avg. lure range I was after, Id get the 1205 for working 2-3oz. If I want 1.5-2.5, the 1204 is my ticket.
I had a Batson 1208 that I loved for the 2-3 range that I liked better than 1205, because it was "stronger" and I felt more confident in leaning into.
Some people prefer rods that are softer in their range. Just personal preference.
I am sure there are many other people here with more experience with wider range of rods that could elaborate a little more.

I would go with the XRA 1321 from the beach.
