mine was out for about an hour and i think the cape was also out weird huh?

It's back now, fire in Sandwich power plant.
Power was out from P-Town to New Bedford.

I to was on line during the out!! I have my daughters Laptop and I had the genarator on for the TV!!
I have my camper set up for a emergency house in the winter. Have gas heat out there and gas stove for cooking. I have 12 power and a small genarator for the house freezer. Cell phones. But with out power the net modem will be down.
O well I guess you can't have it all.

All of MV and Nantucket and the Cape were out...heard there was a fire in a substation around dinner time.
My UPS's could not keep me up that long. about 1.5 hours or so. This was a nasty one because for the first 5 min we had a real BAD brown out...I bet a lot of refregerators unprotected electronics fried...guessin from the brightness of the light bulb I would say we dropped to about 40-50 volts.
We have had a bunch of power outages this fall. One of the underwater cables that feed MV crapped out in oct and they had to pull it out, of course that was the same conduit that had the fiberoptic cable so no internet or decent cable tv for 9 days. It was like going cold turkey.:eek:

We also had the brown out!! I have a surge protector but as soon as I saw the lights go down and stay there I said pull the plugs!!
Then when the light s went out I was sitting in the bath room :eek: Wow that was tuffer then one might think :laughs:
