My wife ;) I've agreed to stop there with her once so far :lasso: Talk about no parking. Nowhere near as exclusive (insert snobbish if you will) as Short Hills Mall though. Also, BM. She sang the theme song to the movie Titanic "My Heart Will Go On". Some of the entertainers that have shown up on her albums include Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli (the blind opera dude), Carole King and others. (Just curious. I'm not much of a casino guru). Jimbo, there is no freakin' better place on this sweet earth than Las Vegas if you like to gamble. Comparing Vegas to Atlantic City is like comparing Lamiglas to a Zebco Snoopy Rod. I go every april to a convention there (NAB) with my bosses at work. Every casino on "The Strip" beats AC. That new slogan is true. Take the Venetian Casino's Mall as an example. They run Gondolas thru the center of the mall. Las Vegas is like an adult's Disneyland. fishweewee 12-04-2003, 02:16 PM Yeah, and $500/night "entertainers." :laughs: STEVE IN MASS 12-04-2003, 02:17 PM I dunno, Arby, for hating her so much, you sure seem to know a lot about Celine...... :smash: :smash: :smash: And John, Arby ain't no Jets fan.....he just keeps sticking his head in the sand about those lowly, pitiful (did I say lowly?)Giants........:smash: :smash: Arby 12-04-2003, 02:25 PM Originally posted by fishweewee Yeah, and $500/night "entertainers." :laughs: What Happens Here... Arby 12-05-2003, 09:11 AM OK, will the freakin' (jersey adjective) weathermen stop getting all freakin' (again used as an adjective) excited about the freakin' (yep, same adjective again) snow coming? :af: By tomorrow morning there will be, at most, 2 freakin' inches on the ground at Newark Liberty Airport. I will be on my way to Lost Wages, I mean Las Vegas, and gambling no later than 7 hours later. Who else beside me bought another snow shovel in the last 24 hours? :smash: I have 4 already but (insert 1st paragraph here). :af: I promise to get even GRUMPIER in the next 24 hours. You can bet (ahhhh, I'm betting already... ) on that!!!! Tinman, guess where the Celine picture came from? ;) Newboater 12-05-2003, 10:03 AM Shovel ? Shovel ? Where the hell is my shovel ? Oh ya, the garage next to that snow blower thingie. Why does my shovel end up bent and with broken edges? Is it cuz the wife uses it to break up ice jams? Why does my wife drive the car through the driveway 4 or 5 times before I get the snowblower out and have to try to cut through the friggin packed snow? Why does my steel roof wait until I have the drive finished before it drops a load back in the driveway? Why does the wind blow the frigging snow back into my face when I trying to clear the driveway? Why does my wife ring my friggin cell phone when I'm snowblowing and say 'Good Job' I'll make coffee for when you finish!! WHY WHY WHY !!! I'm turning into a Grumpy Old Phart !!!!!! The Ole Sarge STEVE IN MASS 12-05-2003, 10:09 AM Why does the plow always come down my street AGAIN, JUST as I move the last shovelful from the end of the driveway from their last pass?......:af: :af: :af: Bassman18 12-05-2003, 10:36 AM Originally posted by STEVE IN MASS Why does the plow always come down my street AGAIN, JUST as I move the last shovelful from the end of the driveway from their last pass?......:af: :af: :af: take me an hour to clear that driveway then...down the road it comes and I gotta clear it again...:af: :af: :af: Jimbo 12-05-2003, 12:30 PM I don't put them in danger, but when I see the plow coming, I tell my kids, "Run down to the end of the driveway and pretend you're shoveling." He usually gives them a wide berth so at least I don't have to shovel as much at the end of the driveway and can drive over what's in the street. By the way, as we speak (or type as it were) Central NJ is starting to shut down. Arby, I know it's not Vegas, but if your plans get cancelled, you could always drive inland and we'll play 5 Card Stud at my kitchen table and you can pay my 7 year old to put on a show for you. Arby 12-05-2003, 01:15 PM I have every faith in the fine ground crew at Newark Liberty International Airport and Continental Airlines to get my posterior in the air tomorrow morning... Think good thoughts... Think good thoughts... Think good thoughts... Think good thoughts... Aaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh :af: :smash: fishweewee 12-06-2003, 11:44 AM Um, Arby, did ya make it? :err: Arby 12-11-2003, 10:11 AM Well, I'm back... I spent the morning on saturday worried that the plane would be cancelled. Thus, I would lose the money for the Celine Dion Concert to boot. After 2 hours delay and a multitude of de-icing fluid, we took off minutes before they cancelled all flights. Since it's the law to turn off the cell phone during air trips, apon arrival and turning it back on I got a voicemail from "Ticketmaster" informing me that Celine cancelled the show for that night herself :smash: . All I could do was laugh. The wife and I took a trip to the "Grand Canyon". You would think that there would be some safety guardrails for the tourists on these tours to look over the side? Looking over the top of a 2000' drop without any type of barrier is pretty freakin' dangerous. Met some Native Americans (read "INDIANS") at lunch. MY wife bought some over priced bead jewelry from them.... WE must've tipped over $200 alone. Taxi cab drivers, Taxi Stand Hosts, Waiters, Waitresses, Airline baggage handlers, Tour Guides, Gondola drivers. You name it, we tipped them... Gambling? I was up about $500 at one point. Lost that and $800 additional the last night while my Blackjack newbee wife made $1600 the last night. Entertainment - Saw a Magic show at the Sahara which wasn't too bad. The next night we went to the "Tournament of Kings" (re: Bad Actors doing the bad Dinner Show eat with hands type crap while we watch jousting King Arthur rubbish) at the Excaliber. The wife loved that... Oh, I almost forgot!!! Seems we were in Vegas during some major Rodeo Championship of the world type tournament. I have never seen so many cowboys in one place in my life. Yee Haw. Well, will I go to Vegas again? You bet!!! chris L 12-11-2003, 11:57 AM Karl I thought the same thing and was taking a closer look . manly yes but I like it too ! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
