View Full Version : Is It Over Now???
BigFish 12-03-2003, 06:46 PM Cold enough for ya? I bet nobody in the New England area is fishing for stripers any more! Maybe some snow coming later this week! :uhuh: Maybe we will have ice soon, time to break out the ice fishing tilts! I can't wait for spring!!! So in the meantime I am gonna do some work on my Jeep CJ so I will be ready when it is time to hit the beaches come April! First on the list...new springs and shocks, the new suspension components will give me a couple more inches ride height.....a new stainless dash and gauges maybe, and if I don't decide to put a new 318 block in it this winter I am at least going to put on a new intake manifold and carburator!:uhuh: With my current carb, the Jeep takes about a half hour to warm it up enough to drive it without having it die due to lack of fuel, runs good in the warm weather though. Also a new windshield frame and glass. That should keep me busy this winter! Oooopppps...forgot the most important thing...a new rack above the jeep to carry my fishing rods....I am tired of just laying them in the jeep sticking out the back, so that will be nice. When I am done I will be able to carry 8 rods horizontally without having to break everything down. That will save me some time! There is nothing like running the beaches in the summer down the Cape! I can't wait.:ss: :uhuh:

BigFish 12-03-2003, 07:06 PM Yeah...if this cold continues we should be able to walk on water by the weekend! Only kidding! But yeah, what the heck else are we gonna do? As far as heat in your room, put in a wood stove and burn some of them plugs....:laugha: errrr...wood! Later.:btu:

Team Rock On 12-03-2003, 08:12 PM I have a 1983 Dodge Ram with a 318 in it headed for the junk yard. It grazed a State Trooper and blew a head gasket at 69,000 miles but still ran good before I retired it. Might make a good parts car for you. And I still have those 6-9" "logs" for you Christian.
BigFish 12-03-2003, 08:17 PM Yes Sprinkles....I do! Do you live on Rt. 58 a little way down from the intersection of 123? I think I saw you in front of a house over there! How is the house coming? Team Rock On....when is the truck headed for the yard and where do you live? I might just be interested! Thanks.:kewl:
BigFish 12-03-2003, 08:18 PM Oh...and Team Rock On....what was that part about grazing a State Trooper about?????
Team Rock On 12-03-2003, 08:37 PM It's been heading to the junk yard for about 3 years now, so it should be soon. Truck is in Weymouth, about 2 miles from the Viking Club. Just a little blue on the bumper/front quarter from the "grazing". PM if interested.
