View Full Version : Pats Re-Sign Walter???? Ya It's True! BigFish 12-12-2003, 11:44 AM Heard it on WEEI just now....the Pats waved Brooks bernard and actually re-signed Ken Walter???? :smash: What the heck is up with that????:tm: :buds:   BigFish 12-12-2003, 11:54 AM Sorry to get you excited! The Pats did cut Bernard and sign "A' Ken Walter not "THE" Ken Walter that they just cut! I could not believe what I had heard but everything is OK now! fishaholic18 12-12-2003, 06:40 PM It looks like they did sign the original Walters!!!! Read this...http://flash.patriots.com/news/fullarticle.sps?id=26762&type=general...Unless I read it wrong. Click on the "latest news" link. Slipknot 12-12-2003, 11:33 PM Originally posted by Squid kids Dad sorry slip...didnt realize that there was no s...my bad geez :D just don't let it happen again, any of you :smash: fishaholic18 12-12-2003, 11:43 PM Sorry Slip...:tooth: Slipknot 12-13-2003, 12:09 AM :alien: :hf1: :as: :tooth: :wavey: :usd: I too wonder what the hell Bill was thinking, I'll ask him when I see him. BigFish 12-13-2003, 12:26 AM Goose....are you saying he didn't kick it good enough cause" dude.....at least the boy hit it more than 18 yards!:smash: :tm:  You heard it here first, the game that the Pats lose, if they lose one.........,will be a result of a poor kick by Walter! You honestly think Bernard did not kick well?????What game were you watching!:buds: Bigcat 12-13-2003, 09:04 AM Walters..must have threatend Belichick that he would release the pictures he has of him:smash: Goose 12-13-2003, 12:34 PM BF, those where not the conditions to judge a kicker. Also, he had more then one ball bounce his way. I thought he did a better job then Walters. Having a poor kicker is just one way to loose not the only way. I think most Pat fans stand behind our coaching staff and they do know more then you, me and the rest of patriot nation. I think it snowed that game didn't it? What I was trying to refer to was his style. BigFish 12-13-2003, 01:05 PM Those were perfect conditions to judge a kicker, snow, ice, wind....those are the conditions you want to see how a kicker can handle himself! Not in a domed stadium, 70 degrees and no adversity at all weather condition wise! Yet we still have no explanation what so ever as to why this course of action was taken???? I would like to know the reasons behind such a move! I guess we will get a first hand look at how Ken Walter kicks in the snow and ice tomorrow and given the problems he has had in more ideal conditions this season.....quite frankly, I think he could be the Patriots weakest link! I guarantee, if his performance comes into play in this game, and I think it will, and he does not perform to an acceptable level, we will all (including you) be second guessing this decision! Gotta have a scapegoat right? At least here in Boston you do and we may have one in Ken Walter. We will talk tomorrow I am sure Goose! I as always respect others opinions, and you seem to be very knowledgeable, so I do enjoy the sportstalk with you! Enjoy the game and may we win be it a blow-out or be it ugly, we agree that a win is a win and we will take it!:kewl: fishsmith 12-13-2003, 07:27 PM Maybe his holding is a key to Vinatieri. Whatever the reason Bill Belichick has a good head on his shoulders, I trust his judgement. Squid kids Dad 12-13-2003, 07:47 PM Belichick said after the resigning of Walter that some times away from the game improves you..He also said it doesnt mean he (Walter) would be playing sunday ??We will see...You gotta trust the coaches thoughts.. He has done well so far...Coach of the year I think...Chit matbe Brady will do the kicking & passing this game.. Canalratt1 12-14-2003, 11:26 AM Altough I don't approve of the re-signing I'll never second guess anything Bellichek does. With the Pats at 11-2 with all their injuries is just unbeleivable. Without a doubt their kicking game has been their weakest link. redcrbbr 12-15-2003, 08:53 AM i honestly think viniteri had something to do with it, after hitting the goal posts last week. walters did good enough for me yesterday, even got a lucky bounce. BB can do whatever he wants with the team, with no questions from me. i have to say i am more behind BB than i was when tuna was running the show. fishsmith 12-15-2003, 09:28 AM Walter has seen the light. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
