Has anyone tried waxing their hulls when temps are around 40 degree's plus or is waxing at these temps not effective?

It'll work a long as the temp is above freezing, and you can keep you hands from going numb. :)

I used the Turtle liquid spray wax stuff a couple of times this season and it put on a good coat. Of course, It wasn't rubbed into the surface, but neither was my skin!!

You can actually apply the wax and leave it on all winter then buff come springtime. Good protection from the elements.

You put the wax on now and wait until spring to try and take it off you better be built like popeye. It'll be so hard even a buffer won't take it off easily. If you do that the easiest way to get it off it to just rewax and let the new stuff soften up the old wax before buffing it out.

Use Collinites Fleet Wax in the fall when you put it up and I bet dollars to donuts it'll still be glaring like the day you put it on, just go over it again when you open up the boat! I swear by this stuff if you saw my boat in person you would swear it was an 04 model. I get about 8 mos out of it on the truck too, you will find it takes elbow grease to put on and take off though.;)
