goosefish

I'm on the lookout for smaller jig sizes. 2oz is the size I'd like to have. There's plenty of 3oz out there, and I've seen 2.5oz for sale as well. But 1.5-2.0oz sizes seem hard to find. Any of you canal rats want to get rid of your smaller heads, or have any suggestions?

NJ tackle has 2.25oz, nothing under. Yeah we did well off that green can this fall, tog to eight pounds or so. The run was early up inside there, then later the fish pulled off and out to deeper spots. I've been all through that area with the fish finder. The bottom looks killer.
Back in days of yore, large merchant sailing ships would dump all of thier ballast before they sailed into the bay. After a while all of those boulders and stones built up a bit of a rockpile
Or so the story goes:D

Eben, are you talking about the pile of gansett? The story I always heard was that it was two barges of breakwater bricks on they're way up the bay that sunk during the 38 hurricane....
good early season tog spot, lotta small fish, the last 5-6 years we have been working deeper and getting some decent togs... always figured the pile would hold bass for wirl line/3waying eels?
