Well we just got back from a family vacation on the Cape, had mom and dad, brother, wife and 3 boys. What a trip we had. Bluefish from hell would about sum it up, we caught over 1000 bluefish up to 10 lbs and about 300 bass, all small up to 26 inches. The bluefish are in hot and heavy on the south side of the cape. We had them every evening but one, because of a north east wind. Tried again this AM as mom and dad left about 5. NADA, but I'll bet they are there right now. Can't fish any more today, am beat to sh**!!! Have a trip scheduled in the AM down on the cape again, and 1 local, will let ya know how it goes. GOING TO GET SOME SLEEP!!!!

Sorry I missed your call yesterday, I was out doing yard work. Sounds like you had a great week and that's good news...except it's over...lol. I wish I could have joined you down there for an evening or two, but I was too busy this week, but I want to talk to you about this coming week.

I've got to pull the boat out now, headed to Scituate maybe. I say maybe because the NE and E winds might force me into the river or into Boston. I will opt for the river first probably, especially with the end of the herring run and shad run going on, sometimes you can nail the bigs ones way up inside. I took a friend up inside years ago when I couldn't get outside and it was his first striper trip and we nailed about 6 nice fat keepers (back in the 36" days) on 1 oz spots.

Sleep well and I look forward to hearing the fish stories haha.

Yes JohnR, mom and dad are making the MV return, and very pumped up about it, can't wait to see them again, we had a wonderful visit, was too short as always, but I will take what I can get.

Hit Chatham yesterday, and alot of other spots, not alot of fish for the whole day, but did get blues and bass at Chatham and bass on south cape, no blues there for the last couple of days, this weather is screwing things up bigtime!!! Glad to know they are starting to come in down there!!!
