I had to download a spam filter to stop them.:af: :af: :af: :af: Bawana 01-12-2004, 12:23 PM arent they a pain in the azz.I keep getting remote attacks with a back door/sub seven trojan horse that so far my virus scan is blocking.I dont even know what it is.Does anyone?????Also must get 10 E-mails a day promising to make my pp 4 inches longer.Oh sure where were they when I was 18?????Now could care less!!!!Already got me in to much trouble Raven 01-12-2004, 12:54 PM find + D/L neotrace on tech tv - trace the ip - and use it to ban the ip with neo watch or other firewall software. then... see when you're being pinged..... sometimes you have to research what servers they are using also (thirdparty)via neo-trace then figure out their ip addys and bann them too.... also you can establish an e-mail rule to delete "it " (un-wanted mail) when certain words are in subject line... also run ad-aware to make sure "their cookies" are cleaned out -delete all cookies.... anytime you surf -afterwards- run ad aware again... a combination of these will make it gone for good! at least from that particular vendor. fishaholic18 01-12-2004, 01:25 PM Raven, translate that into english 4 dummies like me.:smash: Raven 01-13-2004, 09:03 AM why you got somethin thats broke? if not don't fix it. neo trace is a free download that gives you ip addresses of anyone connecting to your computer.... example 128.34.2.16 like a phone number sorta... you can add any number to a banned list - so they can no longer access your PC. Its the same tracking software that police use to track the bad guys. you can use it to stop spam and pesky pests. in your email program theres "MESSAGE" up top. SO highlight an email (select it) in your email list without opening it then hit message and choose off the menu " block sender" you can take any ip address (addy for short) and put it into google and google it (lol) to see what pops up like a company name or their website for more information. many spammers switch their addresses constantly so you have to find out what main servers they are using to ban those servers too by banning their server addy's specifically. also "you "are very smart..... and remind yourself of it OFTEN rather than the reverse for that only serves to make it so....
