Tentative plan:

Let me know please.... serious replies appreciated.
I would look for advance payment to secure rental space
Thinking of putting one together for some Sunday in May in the Bourne/Buzzards Bay area.

Anyone interested in buying a table or two please post here. This will be a non profit simple affair for those of yous who would like the opportunity to sell some of there stuff...new or used. Hope to rent an indoor space. Tables would be about $20.00 a piece....looking for about 20 participants.
Probably run like 10 am to 4 pm.

Thanks,
Mike

This will be a first for me.... I posted on another board as well.

I wasn`t thinking of this as a fundraiser and just hope to cover costs of putting it on. The main purpose is to give people who want to get rid of some stuff a place to sell it.

What do you all think? If I get any profit from the rental spaces/tables I can send it to both sites I posted on?

Suggestions welcomed please. Also had some emails expressing concerns about professional vendors being too involved and that this should be for non business types.

I don`t know...I need more coffee now.

I think it is easy to get a place to do this, and almost as easy to get people to take the tables, but the hard part will be getting the word out and having enough people show up willing to buy. Maybe some advertising will be needed. Just a thought.
This will be for used fishing stuff correct?

Hi Slipknot,

Yes...solely for fishing stuff was my intent except for maybe someone who wants to do a drink and snack table.

Maybe some cheap posters at area bait and tackle shops?
I thought with posting on two sites and word of mouth might work but you are right it needs more advertising.

Any input is welcome!

I'm not sure how area bait shops will feel about drawing customers away from their shops  might not be prudent as George would say.

Maybe if you look into tying this in with an area fishing club or something.

Mike, that sounds like a great idea.

I think early April would be better timing, though.

I don't need a table but will buy plenty of stuff from the sellers:D

Mike, I might be into getting a table, I need to go into the attic and see what I can find. Might not have a full tables worth of stuff. I'II get back to you.
What about splitting a table with someone else, or have one big table for those of use who only have a few items. Still pay for the space of course............................................ ....something to think about.

You could place an ad in the Massachusetts Striped Bass Association monthly newsletter? Go to the club website at MSBA.net. 500 members get the newsletter ebery month and maybe you could run it for February? Just a thought.
