"Jerry Thrash reports that Keith Horsley of Gloucester pulled in 111.5 pounds of stripers on one rod at the same time while fishing aboard the Big Daddy with Capt. Andy James. The fish were 52.5 and 59 pounds. The larger fish leads the state and is less than 3 pounds short of the state record of 61 pounds, 12 ounces. The combined weight of 111.5 pounds is the heaviest striper catch on one rod ever reported. The fish were caught 20 miles south of Rudee Inlet on a 6-ounce mojo and a trailing Crippled Alewife spoon."

Probably the same Gloucester the British and Hessians retreated to when they were beaten at Yorktown.

Stupid me, I leived 40 miles from Rudee Inlet for 8 years and never fished it :smash:
