Im going to be in central FL (west palm beach area) for the first week in march. Can anyone recommend a good charter company? I've found lots of companies on the web - but some first hand knowledge would be a great way to cut through the marketing hype you find on their web sites. Thanks

I've done well fishing the stuart inlet jetty. The inlet connects Lake Worth to the Atlantic. Same deal as here--dropping tide, jigs. There's another inlet south, I forget the name. It has been years since I've been down there, but the jetty is well worth checking out. I haven't answered your question--no clue about charter boats. :)

Now you got me thinking. Lake Worth, for some reason, has some of the largest jack crevalle the world has ever know. Monsters. Many world records have been taken from lake worth, stuart inlet and jupiter inlet. Live bait--the things are wary. Pull like a bandit. So I hear. My biggest is about eight pounds, which is a prawn of a fish in lake worth.

Got this from another FL guide I know down that way:

Greg is a fellow West Palm Beach Fishing Club Member. He is the best in the Palm Beach and Jupiter area

Capt. Greg Bogdan "Permitted", West Palm Beach, FL; (561) 848-2405

I'll let you know how it goes - I booked a trip on http://www.reelfine.com - I defintitely prefer the center console experience over a big sportfisherman. I'll bring GREG BOGDAN number along with me as I could easily find myself going more than once (i'm not too into sitting by the pool and I don't golf).
Thanks
