View Full Version : Aquaskinz commerical on NE angler Mr. Sandman 01-26-2004, 09:23 AM Saw a slick TV commerical on NE angler last night. They showed 3 different tops, and their bags. Looked great!! rwilhelm 01-26-2004, 12:57 PM They were catching some nice bass on live bunker!!! Mr. Sandman 01-26-2004, 01:06 PM Yeah they were...I was more interested in where they got the live bunker then the bass!!! Rock Hopper 01-28-2004, 10:06 AM Hey Guys, Just wanted to get some feedback from those that saw the commercial. How was it from the unbiased viewer? Was it to the point and did ya get the info. you needed? Thanks, Kadir JohnR 01-28-2004, 10:53 AM Hmmm - hey Kadir - do you have a digital clip from that commercial :hihi: ? Raven 01-28-2004, 11:17 AM if no clip, please post when it can be seen the next time on TV. rwilhelm 01-28-2004, 11:46 AM I thought it was well done, looks like more jackets and surf bags coming. Mr. Sandman 01-28-2004, 02:51 PM I thought it was really well done as well. I think that new jacket and small plug bag has my name on it . I like the surf shots. Very professional I thought. Rock Hopper 01-28-2004, 10:14 PM Thanks for the feeback guys!! The commercial can be seen on NE Angling. This is a great "local" show if you will. They (the hosts) are genuine fisherman with real interests in promoting local fiishing and local people...the shows are all shot on the North East and target all of our species. Basically what you see is stuff you can relate to instead of a guy in some far off place that you may never get to wet a line in. They provide local know how, techniques, locations. To get the schedule of airing in your local viewing area, I would suggest visiting their web site (neangling.com) I believe. John, we are waiting on the digital tapes, once I get them, I will see how we can get you what you need. Thanks for the offer. The new bags are going to be hot and the Evolution top has gone through an "Evolution" and will be even better - it will be called the EVO2 :D We also have a great new neoprene splash top with all the bells and whistles... We will be at the Mass Bass Show and Rissa but if you guys want to get a head start, go to you favorite local dealer and ask them to contact us. Thanks again folks for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you at the upcoming shows. Kadir aka: Rock Hopper AquaSkinz Uncle Matt 01-28-2004, 11:34 PM I also saw the commercial and I nearly fell off the coach when I jumped up to turn up the volume. I also liked the commercial and I thought it was very professional. I was at the RI boat show a few weeks ago and I saw the two jackets at the Northeast Angling booth. I talked with Andy & Rich at the show and they ranted and raved about them. It looks like they have expanded the line and added more jackets and surf bags. Nice job. Thom 01-29-2004, 08:45 PM I want bag i want bag Great ad. thomt C-5 CC 01-30-2004, 12:06 AM I want one too!!! Is there a link I can go to, to get a good detailed look at them? Later boys & gals....have to run out for a bit...but will be back later. Kadir JohnR 01-31-2004, 10:29 AM Originally posted by Rock Hopper Just out of curiousity, does anyone else experience BIG Bass at the end of march? I do - but its in dreams. But I am chasing those first run schoolies by end of March :hihi: tlapinski 01-31-2004, 10:36 AM not usually until april for me, and then big is only 20# class. why? Rock Hopper 01-31-2004, 10:52 PM Well, T.l, To answer the "why?" without letting the cat outta the bag....we get a pretty good run of fish 25 to 35+ in mid-to late March and was wondering if anyone else has these fish at that time of year... That's all :D Kadir Nebe 01-31-2004, 10:54 PM I'll be out in mid march:D Rock Hopper 01-31-2004, 11:36 PM Ahhh, did I say March:eek:   I meant May, yeah May is what I meant:D ;) Kadir Nebe 01-31-2004, 11:43 PM yeah so did I... May.... see you in may:D Rock Hopper 01-31-2004, 11:50 PM We'll be a waitin for ya pal and so will the "gals"...:jump: :jump: :jump: piemma 02-01-2004, 07:07 AM I fish with a few guys who spend about 100 nights a year in the surf and wear the Aquaskinz pullover. They swear by them although, just a note, sooner or later, if you are wading the bars like Deep Hole, Point Jude or Carpenters, you will get wet. No matter what you wear the water gets in. One night in mid-September we were into 15 to 20# fish consistently for about 2 hours on an incoming tide on Carpenters. We were OK till about mid-tide when the Bar started to really flood and we started taking waves over our heads. I had a Grunden with the neoprene gusset sleaves and the guy right next tme had an Aquaskinz pullover. When we finally quit, I was soaked so I asked Tom if he was as wet as me and he said yes. If you are into fish and you love it, it doesn't matter how wet you get because you don't notice till it's over. tlapinski 02-01-2004, 01:16 PM just saw the commercial. looks good. three jackets and a zip on hood and some sweet surf bags oh my! now i REALLY can't wait for my tax return check! :D not sure if it was ESPN 2 or the commercial, but it ended abruptly. it was like they cut a second or two off the end of it. also, the hurricane looked gray, not blank like the one i have? keep 'em black! stealth is key.......:vamp: fishweewee 02-02-2004, 08:49 AM Originally posted by Rock Hopper Well, T.l, To answer the "why?" without letting the cat outta the bag....we get a pretty good run of fish 25 to 35+ in mid-to late March and was wondering if anyone else has these fish at that time of year... Slipknot 02-02-2004, 09:45 AM I just saw a commercial on ESPN during Sporstcenter for the Worcester Show and it opens with a film of Tattoo landing a nice bass :btu: I haven't seen the Aquaskiz one yet. tlapinski 02-02-2004, 09:48 AM Originally posted by Slipknot I just saw a commercial on ESPN during Sporstcenter for the Worcester Show and it opens with a film of Tattoo landing a nice bass. must be a doctored video! theSURF121 02-13-2004, 08:46 PM Just saw the new line of Aquaskinz products today at a fishing show on Lawng Eyeland (Freeport). I must say this is as good as it gets. They have 2 new surf bags and added another pullover top that I havn't seen before. They also modified the Evolution top and changed the color to blue. Kadir and Alberto, you guys sure did your homework on these products. Steve K 02-14-2004, 11:08 AM I am not happy about the fact that I got the Evolution jacket for Christmas, have never worn it, and now it is outdated.:( JohnR 02-14-2004, 11:19 AM Originally posted by Steve K I am not happy about the fact that I got the Evolution jacket for Christmas, have never worn it, and now it is outdated.:( You slave to fashion you :laughs: fishweewee 02-14-2004, 11:33 AM Originally posted by Steve K I am not happy about the fact that I got the Evolution jacket for Christmas, have never worn it, and now it is outdated.:( Why? It'll still work just fine. I'm still on my first Evolution and I don't feel a need to upgrade. -WW Swimmer 02-14-2004, 12:01 PM You guys were in the booth at the Worcester show next to Mike Catawba and his Okuma line and I along with Basic Patrick and Baitcaster had a real good look at the bags. I like the square tubes and the rest of the setup. Especially like the idea of loading up the metals inside the bag. The likelihood of the metals going missing is quite a bit less. Plenty of room inside for everything. Is the strap adjustable so one can throw it over the shoulder? Many bags have too short a strap. Steve K 02-14-2004, 12:38 PM How long was the Evolution out before it was upgraded? Basically, I purchased something that has been available to me for substantially less than a year, and before I can even use it, it has been replaced by a better model. The description says that it is made of a more abrasion resistant material, the elbows and forearms have super tough guards added, and an extra pocket has been added. Which one would you rather have? However, I do like the original's color better. tlapinski 02-14-2004, 01:38 PM Steve K, what size? i'll take it off your hands if you want! i need to get another one before the season starts anyway. :) theSURF121 02-14-2004, 02:26 PM It's not outdated, they just added one extra feature inside the chest storage compartment. It's an extra pocket that I believe is waterproof. "Rock Hopper" can obviously explain it much better. Rock Hopper 02-16-2004, 10:30 AM Check out WEEWEE's thread for more info.
