bloocrab

On May 31st he's going to roll out of bed, scratch his cheek and mosie on over to the kitchen. The coffee pot will already have done it's job of brewing his coffee. Shortly after preparing his cup, he will sit down infront of his PC...log on and start surfing. After checking out a few of his *normal* sites, (which we won't go into..because the feds are already onto him :hs: ),...he will pop into SB.com to see what's going on..(yes,.... :err:, he is presently a Lurker)...he will pop open the "Plug-War" thread, which will be in full swing at that time (again!! )...he will laugh about it, like he did earlier on in the winter and move onto the next topic.
He will then start looking thru some recent fish landing threads. Fishermen will be well into Bass at this time...and there will be pictures posted of some decent fish...nothing too big, but enough to stir him up. He'll start shuffling his feet beneath the desk with anxiety as he see's Bloo's post. He will gently grab his mouse and carefully squeeze it to get a firm grip of it. He will then start moving his mouse up and down with anticipation, his heart will start racing, his palms will begin to perspire, he'll begin to think of his *earlier mentioned websites*, shake his head clear of those thoughts and back into the Bass realm...he will then open up Bloo's thread to find a few pictures of some decent Strippers that had been caught the night before. He will become ecstatic......the length, the girth, the curves...and finally,,,the colon protruding from the ...but anyways, ...he will then email Bloo (not PM him, because he's not a member yet ;))..questioning his technique, MO, and finally ....his SPOT! ...being the GREAT guy that Bloo is, he open-heartedly replys to that email with MO and location/time/tides etc...
That same night, after work...the lurker will head to the (%Gspot%)-yet to be determined///...he'll digg into his plastic plano tackle box...pull out a rubber, look around, and then carefully attempt to slide it on.. without ripping it...I recommended a ribbed rubber due to it's sensitivity and action. As he slides it onto the shaft, he will pause...and wonder if it's upside down...again, he'll scratch his cheek in wonder. Not really being sure, he forces the rest of it on....and it rips. :af:...he then grabs a different brand, yes...a ledgerunner (also ribbed underneath), purchased at M&Ds in Wareham ;)...He had read about these rubbers and purchased some late last season...Mike had mentioned how their strength compared to other leading brands, ...(at this time, I'm not sure which type of rubber he initially tried)...He already had his "Owner" hook set up. This time, the rubber will slide on gracefully...and with the grooves in these rubbers it's a no-brainer as to how they go on. OK, he's all set up now....ready for his first cast......

(...to be continued) :)

Ribbed for fishing pleasure? I think the GS French ticklers would be more fun. :hihi:

bloocrab

He’s been a lurker for quite some time, so he does have somewhat of a clue…He’s fishing a gateway; (code 72, for those of you on the VPS network…Virtual Private Spots). For this particular tide stage, I will suggest that he work some structure that was deposited some years ago by our patriots (NO, not the football team).
-With the water level, tide stage and moon phase…this should be a productive spot for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, he will lose his first offering; you see…this “Lurker” has not yet grasped the lead-head weight/ratio/current-speed technique. He will cast past the structure and slowly work his offering toward it, BUT,…being that we had not discussed the weight of his head, which was rather large for the rubber he had shafted it upon … needless to say, the minute he reached the structure, he got a bump. At first he hesitated, he would not expect a hit on his first attempt…before it was too late, he pulled up on the tip…he felt something...he set the hook, gave a double set…just to make sure he was in there good… and commenced his retrieve. The bend in the rod was Extreme…and his opponent, unmovable…he thought he was into a record breaking fish. The more he cranked the reel, the more the fish fought him. After a solid 2 minutes, he tired and slowed up his retrieve…only to find out the fish had also tired, and had decided to take a rest. He decided this was a great time to turn the fish. He pulled up stoughtly on his rod and the fish was still there, again, he started to retrieve…the drag was singing that sweet song…zzzzzzzzzz… .. he couldn’t understand why he couldn’t move the fish. He looked down at his drag and thought, maybe it was too loose. He reached down and completely turned it off and strongly set the hook again….then it hit him. …no, not the fact that he was stuck and that’s why he was able to retrieve line while the drag kept screaming. What hit him,…. was hit ROD, square in the fore-head. He had snapped the line on his last hook-set, and because he was indeed stuck, the momentum of his set sent the rod directly at his head. He then fell back on his cheeks and started laughing hysterically. After recomposing himself…he decided to try a different technique. He looked back into his Plano box, pulled his scup hooks out of the way, moved the bobbers to a different compartment, and there it was……a Tattoo Sea-Spook, in a herring pattern….

(…to be continued…)

....Ok, where was I....yeah, the Sea-SpookTM

...he carefully removes the Sea-SpookTM from it's protective sleeve and carefully rotates it, admiring the incredible craftsmanship that the builder put into it. He suddenly becomes full of sadness....:(..."Chit, what if I lose this??"....he quickly picks up the sleeve and drops it back in, then places it back in the Plano-box, "I knew I should have bought 2 of them!".... He starts sorting thru the $#% mess in his box when he stumbles across another idea...http://web.ecomplanet.com/WOOD3279/ServerContent/MyCustomImages/WOOD3279CustomImage0402557.jpg ...something he found on Ebay. :D...he's SURE this will work, after all...it looks JUST like the bait-fish in the Providence River. He ties it on and makes a few casts. Nada, ... .... after 20 hit-less minutes, he decides he's not getting enough distance so back into the box he goes.... ...he stares at the Sea-Spook, this time he envisions something BIG hanging from it's hooks...and this thought alone hurries him into tying it on and whipping it out there as far as he can......

 ....he should have paid a little more attention during the casting clinic....
