I just ran across this stuff on ebay.
Anyone ever seen it in person?
The description states that it is .045" thick.

View Full Version : Different Grip Tape?? bud8fan 01-26-2004, 10:15 PM I just ran across this stuff on ebay. Anyone ever seen it in person? The stuff I've seen I think would be to abrasive on the hands. Mostly used for a non-skid. Goose 01-26-2004, 10:31 PM If it has the same adhesive used on 3m tape it might be tough to apply. canyondiver 02-02-2004, 08:00 PM As advised, that stuff is too abrasive for a rod grip. I use Quick Grip over cork tape with a cross wrapped layer of 50 lb mono under the QG. It makes a nice looking, grippy and very durable grip. p.s. Keep the cross wrap away from the reel mounting area if you wrap your reel on. Otherwise, you'll have a wobbly reel! CD vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
