I got it with the SeaCraft I bought a few years ago.I like the machine overall. It is monochrome, whihc is fine. The detail is very good and it is very accurate.

My only complaints are two. First would be that the redraws are sort of slow, for example when you move the cursor past a seam, it takes a few seconds for the machine to catch up with itself. But not a huge issue.

Second, the machine is often displaying itself in a "loading" mode, again, I believe it has to do with the speed of the processor as the boat moves along.

But it is accurate for an older machine. It puts me in the channel even on the darkest of nights and that's what really matters most.

Did you buy it new? Any idea on what it cost new if not. I am bidding on one from E-bay and dont want to go over 350. The color and graphics is good though?

Hi Vector-

I think it's a good machine for $350.00. Personally I don't think I'd go over that for the 210, but the color 225 might be worth it. I think it is a great machine for the money.

It came with the boat so I have no idea what it cost new. I would guess that the new Garmin 2006 and 2010 are the newer versions of the 200 series machines.

The next machine I buy will probably be color and a bit faster. But for now, the 210 is an accurate and simple to use gps.

BUMMED OUT:mad: Dam thing used went for 501.00 after I held the highest bid for 3 days the last few hours it went. I don't think I will be wasting too much time on ebay anymore:af:

That's too bad vector, I'd say if you poked around the internet for awhile, you'd find a helluva machine for $500.00

There are some great discount places that seem to have really competative prices. I have tried many times to get a deal on ebay with no luck. I feel if I find what i want at a good price, I'll just buy it!!!

I sold a 210 that came with my boat last year on e-bay...think for about 300. Bout=ght a 2006, sold that, then went to a 2010.

The 210 was ok but cartography was old. Blue chart is superior. You are better off with a 162 (had one) vs. a 210.
