Got a real Mediterranean feel to it. fishweewee 01-31-2004, 11:10 PM I think you're right, Goosefish. My guess is somewhere in the Greek isles. There are lots of feral cats that hang out around the fishermen... :D Guess you can tell I'm a cat person, eh? :hihi: Nebe 01-31-2004, 11:54 PM mee tooo:love: Thats Speed bump. I ran her over in Providence after a Burning Spear concert.. After running her over, I scooped her up off the road and nursed her back to health. She likes Bassmaster dannies:hee: Nebe 01-31-2004, 11:57 PM woops fishweewee 02-01-2004, 08:09 AM "Speed Bump?!!!" ouch! :laughs: nice cat. Raven 02-01-2004, 09:39 AM i once had my own private bass pond in the mountains where i would sit on a particular rock. It was also full of shiners that were say six to eight inches long. I used to cull these out of the pond to feed a HUGE bob cat that i befriended. Apparently he knew my schedual and would secretly watch me from the brush. I had been leaving fish for years... same place - same spot.... ok, when suddenly one day while sitting on this rock with my dingo watching , the BObcat comes out in full view and casually walks over to the waters edge on the oposite side of the pond just 80 feet away and starts trying to snag a fish with its claw and curved upwards paw. After several attempts of missing he ?she? walks up to a sunny rock to watch me fish and wait for his lunch. i left six that day... and they were all gone by morning yet i never saw the big Bob Cat again. It walked with such pride and majestic power that my dog (70lbs of steel) who i whispered "no" to in its ear....knew not to move off of that rock. I sat there for over an hour perfectly still (with my motionless dog) watching that BOBCat watch US. It was a special site to behold. Nebe 02-01-2004, 11:10 AM Hey Raven..... thats a cools story:D: fishweewee 02-01-2004, 08:03 PM Yowsa. How much fish can a bobcat eat? Raven 02-02-2004, 12:05 AM I'm pretty sure she was feeding a bunch of youngins because one day on an all day long hike...i even got turned around and lost for awhile ,i found a zillion tracks of big and small cat tracks. we also had some black cats too .....saw them in my headlights one night. Bawana 02-02-2004, 12:45 PM Isnt that great--I*ve had foxes come to within 3 or 4 ft looking for a free midnite snack fishing the cc canal.Get more scared when the Kittys with the white stripes come looking for theirs.See alot less rats then 20 years ago and the wild cats are always greatful for a bite but the stay further away fishweewee 02-02-2004, 02:36 PM Raccoons scare the crap outta me at the Ditch. Not because they are skeevy little critters - but because they might be rabid. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
