I see Penn is introducing a couple of new spinning reels, the 4600L & 5600L both of which will have free-spool capability so that bait fishermen can let the fish hit and run before engaging, same as conventional reels can do. Anybody hear anything further on these reels pro or con?

Yep, heard about them. MikeCC put a picture up on this site. It's like 6 or 7 pages back.

The 5600L seems to be a good reel.

Adjustable free spool / Drag
Techno-Balanced Rotor
Anodized Aluminum Housing, Rotor & Spool
Stainless Protected Drag System
Six Bearings
Super size Line Roller
Infinite Anti-Reverse
4.6-1 Ratio Holds 270yds /15Lb
Built in the US

My opinion
The reel is smooth and seems quality built
Penn is finaly listened to the fisherman and adding the necessary changes to this reel like super roller & infinite anti reverse. now if they would only change the SS reels to the same features

Mike,
If you read this, are you currently selling the 5600...I was thinking of buying one.
Could you email me the price?
Thanks,
