Train? I don't think so. There may be a bus from Boston to there but I don't know. Honestly, I'm not sure on the rules at the club for those under 21 ???

chris L 02-04-2004, 09:49 AM my mommy said I could go and she wants to send a check . she promised me the check is good and that she has never bounced a check in her life . I feel comfortable that my mommy isnt lying . but she wouldnt show me here checking account statements for the last 10 years .
JohnR 02-04-2004, 10:12 AM Sorry - I should have nmentioned it again like I did in the other thread but the $10 covers a his & hers so if you're bringing your significant other it's still only 10 bucks for the couple. However, unless your fishing buddy IS your significant other (or your dad/mom/son/daughter), your buddy STILL needs to cough up $10 for a ticket. So if Goose & Bloo come together as a "date" they still need two tickets :hihi:
For those that clicked twice for two tickets let me know if you want the refund or to transfer that to raffle tickets... Thanks everyone!

redlite 02-04-2004, 12:52 PM See ya'll there.
Crafty Angler 02-04-2004, 12:53 PM Hey, I already read the fine print - I might be bringing Iron Mike as my runnin' mate - he doesn't really fall into the "significant other" category.
He's gonna hit the big 4-0 in March so the SB TFCTF Nite might be a good warm-up for him...:laughs:
Don't say I didn't warn ya.
Mr. Sandman 02-04-2004, 01:13 PM Just sent a paypal for one...me!:D

Second Annual “Striped-Bass.com Too Friekin’ Cold to Fish Night”
Remember this from last year?
http://www.striped-bass.com/events/tix_sbcom_sample.jpg
Gboutdoors, Don Bliz, and ALR went WAY out of their way to put together our winter fund raiser for this site. They rented a hall and Bliz (and Rappin’ Mikey) put together the night’s entertainment with Fisheye doing a video promo, Bomba manning the kitchen for all the dishes brought in by everyone, and generally, everyone had a pretty stinkin’ good time.
About 100 people showed up that night and we had raffles for prizes better than any raffle table I’ve ever seen. Custom Prints like the one Bloo did, the books donated, the fishin trips/charters donated, the custom rods, the reels, the gear, the prizes, and the list goes on… It was an awesome night, an awesome dinner, and it raised the funds necessary to run this site. I think everyone that went will agree that it was a fantastic nite out – except for Milo ‘cause Clammer stole his wife :hihi:
Well, a lot of people have approached me for doing the “Too Friekin’ Cold to Fish Night part Deaux” and I wanted to see what kind of interest we have. Thinking something in February or March, probably in the same area somewhere from Portsmouth, RI to Fairhaven (same place maybe?). And pretty much the same format for the night (with a couple twists J ).
So I’m looking to get a rough idea on who would be interested in this. I also think that the site will fund this night out! Last year, GB, Don, and ALR generously financed the night out in addition to MCing, DJing, handling logistics, and generally making sure we didn’t burn the place down.
If people are interested, I’ll get the ball rolling on this and get it organized. In addition to being a really great time, it also made the site pay for itself for the first time (which was good seeing that I’ve been laid off since May :smash: )
So, add your name below if you would be interested in attending and if your significant other will come too. A lot of people used last year to bring their betterhalfs and prove/disprove that we’re a bunch of fishing freaks  :hihi:

Redsoxticket 02-14-2004, 06:45 PM JOHNR:

BigFish 02-14-2004, 10:55 PM JohnR...I do not have a printer, however if it is possible to e-mail my ticket over to Slingah, that would be ok if possible. I will make sure he does not mind. Thanks JohnR.
redcrbbr 02-15-2004, 07:38 AM john, just hold on to mine and i'll get it at the door.
denis 02-16-2004, 05:28 PM John
E-mail is ok cheaper for S-B.
Could you post directions again?
Got Stripers 02-16-2004, 07:48 PM I don't care, just as long as I get in the door Saturday, email or snailmail.
TheSpecialist 02-16-2004, 09:30 PM John I have no printer right now. Here is a thought, why not just make a print out guest list for those that already paid, and have whoever is doing the tickets at the door check off the people from the list as they arrive. Might save you some agravation.
By the way I believe CanalRatt was gonna pay at the door, if he has not made arrangements could you put a ticket aside for him and his wife.

Does anyone have any objections? I haven't printed them out yet and put them into envelopes, the sad fact is, I've been using my free time wrapping smelly stinky new 1088 & 1089 rods for this weekends S-B TFCTF Nite to be matched with equally smelly dirty new 6500TCST Trophy Striper and Gold 7000HSN High Speed Narrow reels donated to this festivity. So I can print and send some purty, clean, flowery tix or finish the stinky, dirty, heathenous fishin' rods :laughs: :laughs: :laughs:
http://www.striped-bass.com/images/wraprod2.jpg
'Course, all those dastardly rods & reels wouldn't mean squat without all the custom plugs and plastics, and rod bags, and prints, and wonderfull stuff for this weekends raffle tables - this is gonna be a great freakin' raffle table, perhaps better than last year :kewl:
BEETLE 02-16-2004, 10:44 PM John, Just paypal'd a ticket, put me on that checklist. I'll probably bring some dessert, and a few trinkets for the table !
see you all next week.
beetle
fishaholic18 02-16-2004, 10:46 PM Fine with me,John. My two tix are for myself and Fisherman Jim. Thanx
TheSpecialist 02-16-2004, 10:51 PM Ah, boss when you done wrapping I got some painting for ya....:laughs:
chris L 02-16-2004, 10:54 PM I dont need no stinking ticket ! but let me have one of them rods and reels and I wont mind not getting a ticket .
Notaro 02-17-2004, 01:24 AM I ain't going. Have fun, y'all.:( MSBA's gathering at the independence mall is something i am looking forward to.
tlapinski 02-17-2004, 08:17 AM i'll take the HSN in place of my ticket. thanks for the offer! :kewl:
Crafty Angler 02-17-2004, 08:21 AM John - Put me down for a ticket too whether I can go or not I'll pay ya for it anyway - I'm still not giving up, I may be able to go yet -
Thanks
Jimbo 02-17-2004, 10:50 AM John, I did PayPal, so if the tickets are waiting at the door, that's fine or email is fine.
Vectorfisher 02-17-2004, 08:46 PM John used the paypal option for my ticket, figured the check would take too long to get there.
Moses 02-18-2004, 05:33 PM John - just payed for two tickets via Paypal, one for me and my brother. Please email tickets if more convenient and I can print out.
Not sure if we can make it yet but regardless use the $20 for the site.
RIJIMMY 02-20-2004, 02:48 PM JohnR, ignore my PM. Just read the thread history. I'm fine with a guestlist or email tix.
flatts1 02-20-2004, 03:41 PM Just paid via PayPal (1). See you there.
Can I just pick up the ticket when I arrive?
Mike
JohnR 02-20-2004, 05:38 PM OK Flatts - you're in too - name at the door.
If anyone else is coming, please let me know. While not at capacity for the hall its gonna be tight :)
missing link 02-20-2004, 05:52 PM john what time is it ok to show up?
Crafty Angler 02-20-2004, 10:15 PM Well, John, it's official, I'm not gonna be able to go  - can't swap anybody for the shift and I can't afford to ditch work entirely (regardless of how much I want to) -
There's always next year I guess - hey, you guys have at least a couple for me .
See ya at the next S-B get-together, anyway :wavey:.
I'll be there John having problems with my paypal account ..lost password, havent used it in 3 yrs ...so I'll see ya at the door:smash:
JohnR 02-21-2004, 11:32 AM Chuck - sorry you can't make it but it is priorities - next year... PLus you can make one of our BBQs instead :)
Milo - see you tonight.
fishaholic18 02-21-2004, 11:35 AM John, I paid for 2 tix and you sent me one. Do I just print it twice?
Ya know wat I mean homie? Yo.
JohnR 02-21-2004, 01:05 PM Yep - print it twice if you'd like
(to be honest, all you really need is your name at the door - and you got that. Some people wanted the "tickets' but if I did traditional tickets and had them printed up they would be either labor intensive and mildly costly on my part or low labor but expensive to have done - and we're only charging $10 per head or $5per head when it's a couple . We have the "couples rate"so then our wives will realize we're only partially freaks instead of wholy freaks :) :laughs: )
UserRemoved1 02-21-2004, 02:03 PM hey John I only had enuf paper for 289 tickets so I passed em out :D
Some people wanted the "tickets' but if I did traditional tickets and had them printed up they would be either labor intensive and mildly costly on my part or low labor but expensive to have done
Yeah but just think in a hundred or so years wouldn't they be collectors items?
Clammer 02-21-2004, 04:39 PM time to go =I,m gotta here:happy:
