I just wanted to comment on how everyone responded to the most recent negative post here. Everyone expressed their unhappiness with the post and the person responsible. Nobody jumped on the bandwagon.
I want to thank you all for self police-ing (can't spell it :) ) the site. Made me feel good that everyone rejected the idea that someone can come here and needlessly pick on someone and get away with it. It makes me feel good to be associated with such a good hearted bunch.

I would like to show my appreciation too. In my short career of a life, I have learned there is a time, a place and a way to show your displeasure while keeping your dignity. The young man didn't follow any of those lessons and that is sad. Another lesson I have learned is you get more bees with honey than you do with vinegar.

If the fella is out there, I don't know if he was terminated from here or not, but if you are reading this and you still want to talk to me about fishing or whatever you want, you know my email address. No hard feelings. Life is too short to hold grudges.

Again, I would like to thank everyone else for their replies. It was nice to see people who for all good reasons could have agreed or just left me defensless come to my defense. Thank you. It is appreciated. Although this is just the internet, a favor is a favor and I will repay you guys somehow.

Thanks,

Thanks everyone - I'm glad that in my absence (no doubt sleeping away my vacation on the couch ;D ) the board takes care of itself - great group of guys and gals here... I never had any fear or worries. Now if I only got out fishing some more!!!

Ditto to all!!
I'm a new guy 1500 miles away and i feel like I've ben standing right along side you getting cold, wet and loving it!!
Learning a lot and can't wait of Daighaults books to arrive in the mail.
Temperature is about 92 today with 87% humidity so I'm hanging out by the air conditioning and fighting (not too hard) the urge to make a nite run out to the island!!!
Will report...
Actually - was going to town with my lovely bride to shop but once outside we opted to stay close to the homestead - whewwww
