There's been quite a bit of discussion regarding both 4-Stroke's as well as Yamaha's. General concensus, Yamaha builds a great motor. Also from what's being reported, the 4-Stokes (in general) get slightly less fuel economy at idle and slow speeds, the 4-stroke would likely do a little better at mid-range, and the would be pretty close at W-O-T. The 4-stroke would be quieter. This is comparisons with the 4-stroke vs the newer advanced technology 2-strokes. Fuel savings vs 2-strokes of 5 or 6 years ago would be fairly dramatic. fishsmith 02-22-2004, 09:18 AM quick, do a search here, I posted some info on a 2003 yammi 225 4strk last summer. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
