View Full Version : Skunked again!!!
cheferson 02-25-2004, 11:33 PM Went up and tried for holdovers again, skunked for the 3rd time in a row. I havent seen one fish pulled out up there yet. There was one other guy giving it a shot, who also caught nada. I was there from 4-530,might be the last time i try there. Anyone else had any luck up there?
Clammer 02-25-2004, 11:53 PM nope =but my boat is free of the ice =so I,ll make a run up =soon:rolleyes:

ThrowingTimber 02-26-2004, 03:51 AM Chef and Clammer I'm going up there this saturday with the glass blower and blackeye if he can make it. Its supposed to be in the 50's that day I think. :D
rwilhelm 02-26-2004, 09:03 AM Hey Chef have you been going at high tide? Maybe it is too low when you have been going.
cheferson 02-26-2004, 09:19 AM Ya , the tide was going out. Just checked the paper low tide was at 4:20:smokin: . So i was there at dead low, maybe thats why. Ive been there at high tide, the other 2 times with no luck. WHats the deal w/the boat clammer, have to plug the holes with your finger while your in it?
Clammer 02-26-2004, 10:22 AM no holes in the boat=its me everyone worries about===
low tide doesn,t matter up there most places your casting are 15--21 ft & there is a hole right off the outflow///
it does make a difference north of the bridge
let me know what youall are doing Saturday ===if you go =what Time =I have a appointment but may be able to move it //
G/S whats happening this weekend???????

Clammer 02-28-2004, 07:23 PM chit:smash:
:smash:
nada... no fish to be found... BUT, I did find a nice big rubber shad on a 1 ounce jig head laying on a park bench next to the bridge.. the thing had never been used because the eye of the jig still had paint clogging it...
I think I've had enough inner city angling:smash:
cheferson 02-29-2004, 12:24 AM Eben , i left a nice red a blue blanket next to the outflow for ya in case you guys got cold.
Clammer 02-29-2004, 10:11 AM chef =i thought that was yours===============
cheferson 02-29-2004, 10:38 AM Has anyone got a fish up there this year?
blackeye 02-29-2004, 12:15 PM not I, and not for lack of trying either. I saw a small boat cruising out the hurricane barrier friday nite when I got there, and later I was talking to a guy who said that the boat guys were banging fish north of the bridge at the tip of the old dock pilings.
Hey Chef did you scribble something in the dirt over by the outflow pipe/???
But, yes I have heard of people catching bass there........just not us:smash:
cheferson 02-29-2004, 11:11 PM No, what was it?
I couldnt read it... but I figured the only person who would stand there and scribble something in the dirt would be a fisherman...
rwilhelm 03-01-2004, 09:35 AM I hit there yesterday and I also got the skunk. I saw about 5 other guys with no luck either.
cheferson 03-01-2004, 09:45 AM Thinking about hitting it up friday before the show, anyone else?
