Has anybody used a product called Gluvit sealer. I thought I could use it prior to painting the deck to seal some tiny stress cracks. It's a two part epoxy. Can epoxy be used over gel coat? Thanks!!

Can't say I've ever used Gluvit. MTC 02-27-2004, 07:53 PM I had a 1972 22' Mako with soft spots in the decks. I drilled about 100 holes and filles it with Gluvit than filled the holes and painted it with tan non skid truck bed paint. (Two Part) I saw the boat last fall and it looked great (2 years Later) You need to sand and wipe it before you paint it. Biteme 02-27-2004, 08:53 PM I imagine that you painted the entire deck with gluvit as well as the holes? Did it have the consistency of paint or was it more like a paste? MTC 02-27-2004, 10:43 PM I injected it into the holes. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
