It seems getting Auto air colors is going to get a little more difficult.

I was turned onto a discount art store in Avon that carries Createx but was out of Auto Air colors. I asked the owner if they would get any more and a lenghty answer ensued. The short of is he didnt think so. He also said a major retailer dumped the auto air colors. I just found out that retailer is Ac Moore.

Why?

Createx it would seem has gone to a price fixing policy on Auto Air colors and if you (retailer) refuse to sign their contract they refuse to give you paint. The discounter in Avon sells at a good price and he said "if I cant sell it at a discount I wont get it in" He was working some angles he didnt want to get into.

It can still be purchased on-line.

price fixing is against Federal law...RICO etc.

AC Moore never sold much anyways, look at the selection and price they had. Never had any good colors and the price was like 2x what anyone else sold it for.

Thats what the guy in Avon said - against the law, then he said how am I a little guy going to fight it?

At least they had the basic pearl colors and w/coupon it got the price down...

he don't have to fight it...just drop a dime to the FTC and they'll do all the work :) They LOVE that stuff :D

When I get moved into the new factory I will have loads of Createx stuff to sell....will post it here first to let you guys have first crack at it. I will be able to spray uranium paint when I get setup :D

How is this illegal? A lot of products are price fixed by the producer. Follow their rules or you don't distribute.

Collusion amongst manufacturers/retailers to fix the price of a product is against the law. This is an anti-trust issue.
