this ceiling is 20' high in the house we're building. the guy on the staging is installing large hooks to hang two boats from...in the living room...upside down the boats will be,, everything in the boats will be glued an screwed into the boats so they won't fall on the owner.:rolleyes http://66.31.249.101/dsc00534.jpg

these eye bolts will have block an tackle on them and cleats on the walls to lower the boats for cleaning. some people got it all.

Threaded rod for beams/collar ties huh? Are they gonna stay exposed? I see they are tied to 2 laminated veneer lumber rafters too.

ya, some people got it all, but their money is just as good as ours(they just have alot more of it)

and I gotta make a finished playroom in half the basement, before I can set up a decent woodworkin' area... pity you don't work cheap CS, I'd hire you ta do it ;)

whoa!!...looks great....eliinates the need for a bilge pump...the stone work on the fireplace is very nice....best of luck and enjoy!!:D

OK the boats are fine but what about that wood on the walls? what kind of wood is that? is that a bleaching stain on the walls?

When I was in my late teens I tended for a guy that could lay fieldstone like that.

pooplar on the doors an winda's....walls r maple bead brd./plain for now,owner doesn't know if thier going to whitewash or paint.

boats r ceda, white oak an mahoggrainy

slip..tell ya wife good work on the puter cause I know u can't work one:p
