View Full Version : Who's the man?
Wendy 06-24-2000, 10:42 AM The answer is Bill " the eel man " Nolan! We went out last night and fished with eels. Not only was every fish we caught a keeper ( I think it was 10 at last count ), but the one I took home was 44 inches long and weighed in at 34 lbs. Not bad considering I'd never caught a striper before I met him. I'd put my money on him as far as fishing is concerned. He knows his stuff!
Thanks again Bill!!!
eelman 06-24-2000, 11:54 AM Yes wendy and I "smoked" the fish.I should be a guide!! and make some money at this stuff!! Anyway thats one hell of a bass for someone who only made her second cast with an eel!!! wow !! we had ten fish and all of them were good size bass !! It was an awsome night!!
Dont bother asking her were they were caught, I swore her to secrecy!!!! with a blood oath!!!! It is one of my best spots!!!
You definatly have what it takes wendy, some people just "have it" and you certainly do!! I have a feeling that you will have many more bass that size and larger in the years to come,You are a natural!!
Stripers are the best!! are you hooked yet !!! Congrats again on a trophy fish!! I know some good fisherman who have not got a fish over 30lbs in quite awhile!! you went right from schoolies to the "big girls" Kudos to you!! keep it up!!!
Mike P 06-24-2000, 01:26 PM Well, I don't have to ask, I have a pretty good idea where<img src="http://striped-bass.com/Images/Happy.gif" border="0" align="middle">. But, not to worry, my silence can be bought pretty cheap, too. I'll give you a shout next time I'm up in New England, Bill. I was just there but I'm not up physically yet to what it takes to fish some of your better places.
Mike P 06-24-2000, 01:27 PM Oh yeah, oops, forgot to add, great fish, Wendy. Now go get your 40!!!

Wendy 06-25-2000, 12:54 PM Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to it John. I think Bill likes to talk it up a little. If it wasn't for him I'd still be chunking at high noon with a dead low tide. He's the one putting me on the fish. Anyway, I hope I do get to meet you. Bill has nothing but good things to say about his favorite brother-in-law!
