Can anyone tell me the difference between the two series besides price? I am looking for a new 10' spinning rod but I do not want a a very fast action. I would be interested in a more moderate action that would handle plugs between 1- 3 with the sweet spot around 2.
Thanks

The SW series is a fast action, small tip stiff butt rod. I have built SW1208's, great plug rods, lousy jig rods. tips collapse when trying to sweep the jig.
The SU's seem to be amore moderate/mod fast action. Look at the SU1207 that might fit the bill with what you want. ( I have a SU1209 that I need to wrap for me...
Contact Mike at CCBT. He is the guy for Rainshadow blanks.

Woosta,
Thanks for the info. That SU1207 does sound like it will fit the bill. BTW, I grew up in Grafton.

Mike has built three rods for me and I love his work.
I went to St. John's and I have a buddy who grew up on Shafner St off of Lincoln St. I know that area fairly well.

The SU series is a copy of All Stars Rods .
The SW is a lighter version.
I was on the phone with batson last week and the only SU available right now is the 1209s I got all they had.
