Chowdahead, start looking in late April....keep tuned in to the talented folks on this site and read alot and don't be afraid to ask questions even if you think they might be stupid ones. There are no such things as stupid questions just stupid people. Looking for some good books to read, start with some of Frank Daignaults books, "Striper Surf" is a good one and "The Trophy Striper" is also excellent reading. You must pick up "Striped Bass Fishing" by Nick Karas, that is a must read, very informative and enjoyable also.:kewl:

Welcome again to the site and just check your spelling from now on.....these guys are like sharks circling around, the second they smell blood they move in for the kill! All in good fun though, just make sure you give as good as you get.

You will see a few people or hear about a few people catching stripers in the Boston area aound April 15 or a week later. These are either schoolies or hold over. By mid may the spring run will be on and bigger fish will move in- by the full moon in June striper will be everywhere. The water temp has to get above 53 for the stripers to be active. The macs will arrive first very soon afterward the keepers will show up. Good luck and tight lines.
