Wait a minute, maybe you were right. I caught some crabs there...or are you trying to imply soemthing to me? The Dad Fisherman 03-18-2004, 06:50 PM DOHHHH!!!!!!! Slipknot 03-18-2004, 07:09 PM Ya, I plan on fishing there right in the middle of the day in July while everyone is trying to swim so I can get booted out of there. Just ignore the signs that say no fishing, last time I caught a 6 year old in the shorts, maybe this year I can hook someone in the bikini. STEVE IN MASS 03-18-2004, 07:18 PM Slip, if you're lucky, maybe this year you can catch just the bikini, and then......;) But why bother, the places sucks, and there are no fish there.... There are fishes around Onset. But when the summer comes, bathers and scups. bloocrab 03-19-2004, 02:20 AM :hs:... Skitterpop 03-19-2004, 08:27 AM There are more giant spider crabs and sea robins there than anything else....I`ve wasted more time around there because its close to home when I should have been learning to jig the canal. :smash: for me and some more:smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: ChrisH 03-19-2004, 08:48 AM There are NO fish there, or anywhere near Onset...stay away, just drive right by:D UserRemoved1 03-19-2004, 08:52 AM There's especially no fish if you're in a boat and working the channel at the end of the bar, or around the docks on the way in, or at the entrance....or even way up inside in 1' of water  Skitterpop 03-19-2004, 09:21 AM I`ve watched Salty with me binocs and what he says is true! I`ve seen him cast all manner of his sweet customs to no avail...once I think he snagged an oyster and another time a lobster pot. Chris H lives around there somewhere to and he says even before the oil spill there was no fish...they all seem to go to the east end and follow JP around. :faga: :faga: :faga: UserRemoved1 03-19-2004, 09:27 AM I try EVERY day to catch a stripper in Onset but never have any success. I think I might try my spinnerbaits in the canal this year. Skitterpop 03-19-2004, 09:32 AM Someone told me 1/16 oz Roostertails pink are killers for the big cows that are all at the east end...also Jitterbugs in flo orange supposedly are the bees knees for huge bass but again only at the east end. :read: :read: :read: ChrisH 03-19-2004, 11:06 AM The bass head by Cleveland light and go right past the day marker at Onset, totally by-pass Hog Island and go straight for the rip at the east end. They DO NOT stop to feed on the way. IFG 03-19-2004, 11:09 AM There arn't any fish in massachusettes thier all in Rohdy go there;) RIJIMMY 03-19-2004, 11:33 AM Nah, no fish in Rhody either. I think they all stay in Connecticut, try there. Skitterpop 03-19-2004, 01:16 PM Fisheries scientists have recent test results which conclude that no stripers will be migrating north this year due to a breakout of avian chicken flu which disorients the bass causing them to just roam around their wintering grounds pecking for food. I know this sounds unbelievable but I read it in the Oceanic Science Digest just last night.
