me and my buddy justin went looking for new fishin holes yesterday. decided to take a drive around beavertail for S+G's. some guy was out there with a big surf rod, throwing what looked like a tautog rig, but instead of where the crab would be he had some kind of soft plastic . am i missing something here. i've never seen a rig like that for togs or stripers, im guessing the guy didn't know what he was doing.

It could have been a Crazy Joe's Cocahoe Schoolie Rig (http://surfcasting-rhodeisland.com/Cocahoe_Schoolie_Rig.htm), or something similar...

nah it def wasn't a teaser rig. he had it rigged just like a tog rig, where you have a weight on the line above the crab, so when it sunk the weight sat on the bottom and the soft plastic kinda floated above it im guessing. just thought it was weird, never seen that type of rig. didn't think there's anyhting around yet anyways, right?
